CTEK reports green for good after 24 hours on the recondition cycle- we shall see.
On a related note, has anyone fitted a battery isolator to avoid a recovery truck at Heathrow incident?

It’s certainly an idea.

Think how many bodies you could fit in the back and how hard it would be to find any DNA in all that grime.

It’s certainly an idea.
I did read that - what I'm asking (somewhat opaquely) is whether anyone on here has done it, and by extension inviting them to say how they did so.

Trying to pass my idea off as yours by waiting 4 pages moar liek.
These are cheap and work well:

This shell looks great. Excellent colour too. Might look to nice for the track when done!

I'm not buying an E63 no matter what you say.

Companies retained cab driver had one of those, always picked me up from the airport in it - or, rather, he picked me up in a fresh one each time as he had a sequence of them.
They didn't last three months before something catastrophic happened to each one.

What am I missing?
OK it's got a V8, but that's seems like a fair few $ for something so raggidy. I assumed cheap meant £500-1k.

But... hip hop.
-
• #38689
You could weigh that in for more than £500.

Ha! True.
I know it sounds like a trite Clarkson comment, but irl Escalades look cheap as fuck imo. Basically just a big Jeep Patriot with working headlights.

• #38691
Not cheap and still in the land of the free, but this 200% rad:
Just need some face masks and a surfboard.
(may not be as cool for driving around Milton Keynes)

I thoroughly enjoyed blasting around SF in a Dodge Ram Hemi, put me in the same car in the UK and I'd hide behind the dash in case anyone saw me.

Only to get through scrutineering.

Worked with a guy who said a similar thing about Lambos and the Sound of France. There anyone can rock a mint green super car. Do it in London and you look like a tit. Hence the popularity of Porsches.
I really want to try and rent a new Camero. But a think a 4 door charger sounds more likely. Edit that, a convertible mustang is the most likely.

I have the red FIA type isolator unit wired into the rally car.
Like @lynx says you can wire one of these in with a fuse bypassing it locally with a low enough rating if anyone tries to start it it’ll pop the fuse without the key in and it’ll go dead.
I had one hidden behind the centre console of my road car when I was at uni because I lived on the outskirts of the north East’s answer to a war zone

The point is to stop the alarm drawing current and flattening the battery.
