Dropped the car into Volvo (a continuing disappointment this main dealer lark), needs new track-rods and track-rod ends. Ok, happy enough with that being likely.
But they're saying that these parts, once replaced, will resolve a very slight vibration under light braking that I've observed - that comes from the rear of the vehicle.
I think this is unlikely.

If you go down that route I may know of some BBS 3-piece splits that came off a 635CSI that could be for sale.

This isn't a picture of a volvo estate we're talking about here... This is the supercar.
Food can wait!

Will you be able to move the car during the day?
There are two sections of Stapleton Hall Rd near crouch end where you can't park between 10am-12noon and then another where you can't park between 12noon-2pm.

What happened to the 121 no longer on the road?

I'm imagining that they fired the reciprocating elements of the engine out of the exhaust pipe in a fit of pique.

Oddly the only person I know with that E of BMW had to leave it in France with a £9k bill to be argued over after the engine failed.
To make matters worse, when the husband flew back to France to pick it up, he and a mate got so drunk at Stanstead they missed the flight... and the last train home... and then had to call his wife to pick them up from the airport.

Sussed out the diesel space heater in the rear of the landy, had no idea it was in there and the seller had no clue what it was. Turns out it's a fairly expensive bit of kit which is a nice bonus considering I'll probably end up using this as a bit of a camper.
Just need to figure out how to utilise AC power (where the inverter is etc) it's meant to have split charging and 2 batteries but I've only found 1 so far.

I’d suggest you get the Eberspächer serviced if you want to use it. Or at the very least get a noisy CO alarm. Probably both.

Best of your vehicles so far by the way. Though 20” shorter than the true champion’s Defender.

Nice that 520. In the subject of champagne I found my car’s older little brother.

#csbI do have a solitary advantage over the chaps in your anecdote

The things is, that's just one anecdote, so I wouldn't put too much weight on it (unlike avoiding any Audis with factory tow bars... badum-tish).
In fairness I'm sure one of the big issues of the whole saga was BMW France and BMW UK arguing over what costs to split, and how. Overall they are happy with it over all.

Will do, had it on today and it was a little smelly. Gonna start with a CO alarm.
I did want a 130 but I didn’t want a pick up and the cost/work involved in making a 130 station wagon was more than I wanted right now.
Got around to pulling most of the cabinet and cage out of it today. Off work this week so hopefully I’ll get the rest of it out, start insulating the backand be able to start on a minor sound system plus install a middle front seat.

Definitely part of it but I should be able to get more out of it. My 200k+ 300TDI did over 30mpg
