Nice quiet-ish day at Goodwood yesterday, worth it just to see an RS200 spoon it into the hay

You'd have to really love that ratty old Range Rover that you'd left to rot under a tree with the windows open for 25 years to spend 135K on it, when they cost 20-30K in really nice condition:

Fair point.

I'd strongly recommend using a hairdryer (or heat gun if you are too manly for a hair-dryer) if anyone is tempted to use vinyl wrap on things, makes an incredible difference to how you can use the material.

Yes, I am ambering the lights - they're the Litronic version, which were never made with the amber indicators.
They have HID projectors for the low-beam.
I picked this pair up from a chap in N7 a couple of days ago, I'll fit the lights tomorrow now that they'll match the car.

The amber indicator section of the lights was Pinky Lai's original design, it makes sense of the shut-lines of the various panels that make up the front end of the car.
The clear indicators lose this, and lose (to my eyes) an important part of the design.
Of course, when the cars went to gen 2 and changed the lights completely they lost all of the elegance and consideration that had gone into combining all of the various lights that were scattered around the front of the 993 into a single unit whilst keeping the iconic round headlamp that was and is so strongly associated with the 911.
Finally, only a single year of 996 had the amber indicators, and a lot of owners of those have "upgraded" to clears over the years, so it's nice to preserve one.

Spotted a 93x in the wild today. Mildly aroused.
Going to have a look at one next week. Also mildly aroused. Incredible spec for the money, out of business car brands ftw.

That might be it actually - I've literally seen it outside my house maybe 2 or 3 times and tried and failed to get a picture of it
