  • Of course the other question is whether it'll be nicer to drive if I stick with the 17's...

  • Very likely so, bigger wheels are more of a aesthetic/trend thing.

  • They won't replace your windscreen seals. They'll just tell you they're fucked and replace the windscreen anyway.

If they'll replace the screen for the delam on the insurance then I'm a happy man.

I guess I should phone the insurance tomorrow and inquire.

  • This scares me whenever I watch it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OSMCfPASImQ

  • Holy fuck that's twitchy!

  • Big boost and Rozer is a fucking animal.

See also Ari Vatanen's Climb Dance and Leh Keen's Rain Dance for similar levels of "How big are his fucking balls??" self-questioning.

  • Definitely on the edge but this is my favourite nurburgring video:

    https://youtu.be/JHC55aqDxb0

Gyro stabilised hot lap on a kawasaki zx-10r. The angles he achieves whilst not burying himself in a barrier are astonishing.

  • Just drove behind a mint (well bright orange) 911 sc of some unknown year. Early 80's maybe? Sat very nicely on brushed and dished fuchs wheels with matching orange centres. Whale tail spoiler too, not sure if standard but looked great. Never stared at an arse for so long!

  • There you go, you don't need me.

I have a vague memory that the GT3 ones won't fit without a geo change and/or arch rolling.

    I doubt they're GT3 tho.

It'll definitely ride and handles more pleasantly on 17s, but the bigger wheels look hawt.

  • I've got 18s (and sports suspension) on mine and think the ride is actually very good. I expect it improves the handling too, but have nothing to compare it with.

However I've never liked those fussy split rims

  • Split rims are motorsport, bruv.

  • They ain't even split rims doe.

    2 piece innit.

  • Details.

  • Actually the Yellowbird just asks for more on Project Cars.

I am no driver, and even I can throw it around.

The GT Bimmers are beautifully balanced too...

Audi + AM + Merc are a bit less forgiving imo.

    Obvs LMP is completely different.

    #CSB

  • Possibly the wrong place to ask but does anyone have a recommendation for where to get an MOT done in SE? closer to crystal palace the better.

  • I've used a place on Barry Road before, seemed kosher.

How about these for wheels: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/132070969125?ul_noapp=true

On a silver car, bear in mind.

  • They look very much like the Sport Classic wheel that was an option on 996s, google that for pics. I think they're too fussy and much prefer the Sport Design.

  • Seem spendy.

These are the ones you want:

  • Mk2 wheels on a Mk1?

    fry.jpg

  • Carrera II's are the nicest (OK, I am biased)

  • UGH I FORGOT OK?

    Don't h8 me

  • No hate, just disappointment.

  • I have always really liked the design of the Sport Classic, BBS have done that style for a variety of makes over the years - including Volvo with the Propus.

  • Sorry, missed this! What kind of article and what info are you after from me?
