There's a new series?
I thought Gene Hunt was being lined up for Top Gear.

Lol!
Seen something similar in action in Russia, caught a boat from Turkey to Socchi (Rus) in our rally volvo with a pair of guys from Barcelona, they had a 4x4 Isuzu utility truck with an insulated portakabin bolted to the back of it. They were going to get as high up in the Ural's as poss then head east (possibly using winter frozen rivers?) to Magadan then get a ship to the US and drive down to Rio de Jan, think they had about a year - 15 months to do it?
Never heard of them again and this was 2006 so hoping they made it, also met two girls that went missing, turned up in Burmha about a year later all safe and sound, hell of a bender I think!

Used to live near a guy who was an ex rolls engineer, his yard is constantly full of V8/V12 merc's and Unimogs. For some reason the merc's were mostly daily drivers and the unimog's he would fully strip & rebuild at a show quality, never saw them dirty. Kind of the wrong way round, or the right way round in some folks eyes ;)

What a load of old shite that prog was but filter out the filler and the twats presenting it and there's some good car stuff in there (bit like Wheeler Dealers).
Hot hatches next week!

Glenister's a bit of a tit, but the other fella knows his onions apparently.
I'm intrigued to know what's up in the coming weeks.
My brother has an original Golf GTi and has been wondering whether or not to punt it on. He never drives it other than to keep things turning.

Not that precious about decent car stuff on telly, YouTube's been a godsend in that regard

Can't stand him.
He's got nothing to say, and yet the Pistonheads lot treat him like a god, just because he drives the odd nice car. -

New Top Gear team is rumoured to be Danny Dyer, Brian Sewell and Sweep.
-
• #23270
I think he's eloquent and enthusiastic, not sure what else I want out of a car man
-
• #23271
For build videos, check out Tom's Turbo Garage, for just general car driving, check out The Smoking Tire

Chris Harris is significantly better than the cretins who've been paid vast sums by the BBC.
His best work by far was the report on the Singer Porsche. His enthusiasm is also refreshing.

I always liked James May. I quite like the other two cretins, come to that.
Harry's Garage is good on Youtube. Harry Metcalfe isn't your obvious presenter, but his love for his subject is infectious, and he drives some lovely machinery.
Of the telly lot, I can always watch Edd China in Wheeler Dealers. Brewer does my head in a bit though. He's such a bullshitter. I like Fuzz Townsend, (again, Tim less so) in Car SOS and I do like Ant and Phil from For The Love of Cars. I think in the latter case the fact that the end product is always just about the best that episode's car can possibly be is great too. I'd have loved their Delorean.
Classic Car Rescue is a disgrace and Fifth Gear is dull dull dull. -

For "vaguely car-related but actually infotainment" I'd suggest Robert Llewellyn's Carpool is pretty good, although I didn't keep up once Dave picked it up.
Such a hipster...

I like Chris Harris. He's engaging and his content is excellent.
Otherwise my main Youtube car pleasure is Roadkill.
Is that a hire one? Think that was the one at teh classic car show at excel
Never gets stuck...
