  • That's gorgeous!

  • Is that an original colour?

The interior cries out 70's chicque.

  • chic?

  • Do the impellers break?

So far on the fantasy supercharger list:
    Build a mk1 mx5 with standard (production) bits such as supra injectors to get around 200bhp;
Modern gtv 2.0 twin spark with a blower....but then I fancy a guilia (original) with modern twinspark running gear. Would the blower fit under the hood?
BMW 318is (the baby M3?) in to an E30 base model 316 so there is no sunroof and drop the 318 16v out of an E36 in with the blower as well...

    Arm chair pondering is difficult....

  • That porsche. Dream car. My year as well.

  • Neither spelling looks right to me....but you get what I mean

  • Picked this up last night, not gonna use it for the next few years with uni etc but I figured get a good one for a decent price while I still can...

Light resto over the winter if I have time

  • awesy!

  • Pretty 911 is pretty.
I'd have to lose the vinyl seats though.

  • Enjoy the summer sticky/burn

  • Are those mk2 wheels?

  • @lynx yup!

They will be changed in time for summer.

    Nice place to sit

  • The little Mazda that could then eventually couldn't was picked up by the garage today :-)

Should have it back next week, now the weather is shitty and it's always greasy.

  • Have you put a 80's crappy filter on that shot?

Thinking of any mods? Oh clear out the rocker cover breather now when its not blocked. ;)

Do the wider tyres spoil the handling?

  • Where'd you find the Golf? That's exactly the car I said I'd buy my wife if we ever get one in the UK. For some reason she loves the GTi, has to be red too. Whats a good one worth?

  • Haha @lynx its a shot from instagram... sorry! tyres are 185s. I'm not sure what width the originals would have been and its my first time driving a mk1 that's a gti so im unsure if the handling has changed.

@TRA picked it up from Car & Classic online, really good condition in the areas that count, front wings need a little work.

For a good one expect to pay £4k+ but the prices are rising all the time.

  • It was a piss take, 80's filter on the photo.

Wow 4K... that has got to be close to mint or am I that far out of it? Wings are bolt on so not that much of an issue. Actually should yours have the wing liners?

About the tyres, I inherited a MK1 GTD and I remember when we got it the handling felt skitish and that was down to the cast camber not being right for the car. It had the VW telephone dial wheels on it runing 185/60. A diesel with a water cooled turbo and intercooler!

  • Ouch. What a way to go. Not to worry though, some fool will probably give 'em £20k for it...

  • Alegedly left outside a disused factory...in belgium

  • I feel for that 964, but given my Beetle is in a similar state I guess these things happen.

I saw a 164 earlier so had a look to see if there was any nice ones about and there is:

    http://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C555986
    .

  • Interior of that 911 suggests it's an older car with 964 exterior parts. For a while it was popular to 'update' basic 3.0s and 3.2s to a 964-look.

  • That ain't no 964. Fook knows what it is tho.

The door cards look 74-78, the lower dash 72/73, but there are central air vents in the dash, which didn't arrive until 1978 and there is no dash top speaker.

The centre tunnel looks odd too.

    Do not want.
