I'm currently running an inventory for a small retail company in Dubai.
At one of the warehouses where I'm based there's a collection of vintage sports cars which include (in no particular order):
Two Lambo Countach's, a Diablo and a 350.
A Mercedes Benz GTR and 2 SLS's (Roadster and Gullwing).
A Lancia Stratos.
Three Astons DB5, DBS and DB5 Superleggera.
A 250 GT California coming back next week (the owners' current daily drive) and countless other 'Rarri's including an Enzo, a 355, a 512TR and a Testarossa.
An Iso Griffo.
A Mustang GT500.
A Ford GT.There are a couple more which I can't remember and I'm trying to persuade this fella that you lot need to see this collection, but so far he's been a bit funny about me taking pictures.
I'd assumed that this little lot (about 1/3 of his collection) was owned by an Emirati, but it's not.
Back in 2008 when things went a bit wonky over here, a Pakistani real-estate investor was wondering where to put his money so that it didn't vanish whenever a company went under.
He met a bloke one evening who said that if he had that kind of money burning a hole in his pocket then he'd stick it ALL in classic cars and automotive pornography.
He employed this guy to assist him in amassing a truly wonderful and well-curated collection of cars.
He currently has 75 cars in stock and his only rule is that anything he buys cannot have more than 1000 miles on it.
After 6 years of collecting he's opening up a showroom to punt them all on if someone's prepared to offer his asking prices. If someone isn't then the showroom remains as a rather flash garage for his collection to sit in.

Guys, quick question - I'm looking to buy a car privately, is there a free way to check if a car has been stolen/written off in the past? Also, upon transfer of ownership, all i need is to submit the V5 form to DVLA right?
