I reckon you got the better deal.

I really want a Defender - so much so, I may order one for my return to the UK.

  • Defender... when a dub bus just isn't slow, uncomfortable or noisy enough.

  • ^My thoughts. Much rather have an old G-Wagen.

  • G55 is next on the agenda over here.

They'll soon be cheap enough on the second hand market because Merc aren't making them anymore. It'll be G63 all the way from now on...

totally! bus every day of the week!!

  • Just got back from Essen Motor Show, lots of cool stuff, lots of not so cool stuff, plenty of huge spoilers and alot of pork.

    Here are some average phone pictures;

  • Rad, thanks for sharing!

  • Always wanted to go to Essen. What's the vibe like?

I've got a trackday at Snetterton on Saturday and so much to do on my car before then. Good job the days are long and it's warm out... Oh.

Oil and filter change, stainless brake hoses, replace brake fluid with ATE super blue, replace supercharger belt, CAS O ring, heater hoses, and two new tyres!

Tyres will be the biggest issue I think, will have to get them delivered to work, then drive to work and have them fitted locally around Kentish Town. I don't think any place around here will have Parada Spec 2s on the shelf.

I liked it, Its a nice mix of everything and you can easily avoid certain things if its not what your into, the busiest hall seemed to be the one with lexus lights, stickers and subs for sale, easily avoided.

  • Random question from me as always to the petrol heads I can trust: Well, mostly.

Been looking at buying a car in Germany. obvs, want to minimise time, international bank transfers take up to 5 working days, most won't take CC's and Paypal and the like is a fucking joke.

How does one do these things? Ideally I would like to fly in, take test drive, sign papers, swipe card, and drive away with my temp plates pre-ordered.

If anyone has experience please to tell.

  • as i'm german i wouldn't sell my car to a non-german due to the de-/registration.
ask the seller if the car is currently registered or not, the last would be the best for both (seller/buyer). that's the only advice i can give.
and in germany cash rules for private car deals below 10k euros.

  • Have to say, surprised by the bad taste in Essen. Must be a Global problem. Max PowR. (I fit right in)

seems pretty easy for getting the export plates-100 euros fee.

Don't fancy walking about with all that cash on the other hand. balls.

  • Love the batman / DTM Calibra.

  • Zakspeed calibra; it's fully carbon fibre. Ridiculous.

  • Just ordered 2 tyres from Black Circles. They reckon they'll arrive tomorrow. Anyone know any local places to Kentish Town that will fit tyres and balance for under a tenner a corner?
