Tarquini driven 155 was always a good sight though!!
Dad used to have a 156 Selespeed, unsurprisingly we needed a courtesy car quite a few times, the 145 Cloverleaf was a delightful substitute.

Dammit I am friends with Tim Harvey ex BTCC champ and his experiences of Tarquini in the 155 weren't boriing ....

The Alfa 155 forced the adoption of aero in the BTCC by "creatively interpreting" the regulations of the day- and directly led to one of the most exciting motor sport formula's becoming dull.
Boo, Alfa, boo.
Tarquini driven 155 was always a good sight though!!

God, Touring cars looked good in the good old days....

I would like to race in the N24h or LM24h one day.
Just thought you should all know.

I'll put my name forward as 2nd driver in the team. I reckon we'll walk it...

Even if it's something as ridiculous as this:

Id happily do the night shift :)

Ricky , I believe Tim may have had something to do with that sideways 155!
-
• #15761
Exactly! Pre-aero it was super-awesome.
Then that monster spoiler landed on the boot of the Alfa due to the production cars having a kit in the boot to raise the stock spoiler to eyebrow height and it all went to pot.

Godamnit! One day I'll work out how this embed thing works.

• #15764
Sounds lovely. Not sure it should be in an Integra though....

The engine is so far forward that I expect it would stand on it's nose if you applied the brakes with any sort of force, and when the chap pulls away it's not exactly fast- but the noise.

What is ridicolous about an opel manta?

Exhibit A your 'onor:
Always fancied a wide bodied 155.

When I was younger a friends dad bought one of these and threw a shed load of money at the engine, it was his pride and joy.
He went on holiday for 2 weeks, left it at the airport and never saw it again.

There's fuck all in the South East except Brands Hatch.
Bedford is a bit up the M1, but if you're talking about your Mini, you want to get to Cadwell. It's not called the mini Nurburgring for nothing!
People like Trackaction Online, Open Track, and Javelin Trackdays all do decent OPL track days, Javelin have some good days coming up, and all 3 are much better value for money than any of the MSV days.
Open Track even do free food, drinks, photos, and tuition included in the price. I think they run at zero profit, they just cover it so the guys who run Open Track can attend for free.
They're always good days with good mix of cars and serious owners.
Lydd track do car experience days.

Not sure what else he expected...? Dad's colleague had one, wouldn't even take it to the shops in case it got nicked while he was getting his groceries.

Have you been to Lydden Hill recently?? It's OK at best for bikes, but it's dog shit for cars. You can learn Lydden in about 10 laps. After that you might as well be sitting at home holding a heat gun to your tyres and pouring the petrol down the toilet.
There's too much rubber laid down by the drift guys who are there once a month too so the variation in grip levels are extreme.
