If you're in that area, make sure you do the Col de Mont Cenis. Fantastic road.
cheers. you are the third person to mention this route.
i was hoping to train it to geneva, but you can't do that now.
Be an interesting match- FWD vs RWD and my car is what, ~1600kg whilst yours cannot be much more than half that. Easily less than half, quite possibly.
When is the car limits day?
opens Garrett web site
may.
my car is a bit more than a tonne, with about 65 hp at the wheels. it would need to be a go kart track for you to not batter me on the straights.
Also, complaining about tyre replacement on a £90k car
haha. £55 tyres on a £4,000 car should be more upsetting.
(i do get more than 6k out of mine though) -

lolwut? More than a ton? Mine is a shade under...
£60 tyres on a £2500 car. Wheelspins are literally wasting money, hence also a waste of time. FUN THOUGH.

I had 3 month old Yokey-cokey's on my M3 when I bought and they lasted about six weeks. I was probably driving rather irresponsibly, I then changed to Good Year Eagle F1's which lasted about a year. When I went to get them replaced, there had been such a significant increase in the price of the replacements, I enquired about Conti's which turned out to be similarly pricey so instead went for Kumho instead.
I worked out that I don't drive the car as hard or as often as I used to, so I took some less expensive tyres which have lasted forever. They'll need replacing later this year, because there's the start of a kerbed tear...

if i dumped the beautiful, sleek rubber bumpers, i'd drop 90lbs!
what you want for circlework is 15+ year old rock hard pizza cutters. i had some rad slo-motion possum bourne moments in the wet

Can anyone recommend a good mechanic near SE15 / Peckham? I need to get an MOT and oil and filter change done.
Just been quoted £50 for the MOT and £90 for the oil and filter by a local guy, seems pretty steep. It's a MK3 Golf GTI. Cheers for any leads.

• #14311
change the oil/filter yourself and take it to the no pass no pay dude in deptford.
i'll give you a hand with the oil change if you buy the filter/oil.

I might hold you to that Richie but I need to get it done within the next week. I'll have a look online for filter / oil. Cheers :)

I recommend a lighter touch on the gas, or another car if you must hoon it everywhere...
What tyres are you using? Contis get better wear for a slight grip trade off. My dad switched from Assimetrico to Sport Contact 3s and said he saw a healthy uplift in tyre life on his C2.
Michelin Pilot Sports 295/30/18
I don't drive it hard very often. Can't afford to ! I usually just potter along....just the odd blast now and again.
I've heard the Contis aren't too grippy. A few people have recommended the new Falkan Azenis 453.

PS. I bought it ages ago, secondhand, when I had money. But these days I am mostly broke, so running it isn't so easy. Hence the desire to buy cheaper tyres.

Power vs poise?
I could put a wardrobe in the back of mine to even things up a bit in terms of power to weight.

same shape as the car, too!

See, that's the spirit- you've got a killer aerodynamic advantage

Can someone direct me how I go about replacing my KAD quick shifter back to a normal one, what do I need to buy? Only have the KAD parts and the tiny throw is pissing me off

How long have Dialynx been making replicas? The age of the cars in the back (a Triumph 2000 estate/Ford Crapi) and the age of the hair cuts I'd say this pic is from 1985 same age as the towing car (C reg is 85 no).
Good spot - not that long, I'm sure. 2 Quattro Sports - nice. Still rather have a 205 T16...

I don't mean to sound harsh, but selling it could free up a fair bit of cash, I'm assuming it's a 993 or 964 if you bought it ages ago? They command a premium now and hold their value, you could keep it in the family and downgrade to a Targa or C4, and probably make £20-25k.
I ran the Falken FK452s on my old E34 and they were a pretty good tyre. That mid-range between premium and budget tyres.
What width are your rears? 10J? 295/30/18 is an expensive size.
Pics or ?
