I want to do that with a 70's/80's Rolls Royce Silver Shadow.
i drove one last year, it felt like that whilst driving. actually felt sea sick driving on a freeway as is floated all about the place.

You'll have to put up with slightly higher insurance (very slightly) but a Mk1 Eunos Roadster V-Special would be ideal, BRG with tan leather, a/c, Nardi wooden steering wheel, gearknob, and handbrake, perfect for what you're looking for. They're not designed to be big GT cars, but with the right spec, they can be. I'd happily drive mine down to the French Riviera, and then spend 2 weeks driving round there in it. It'd do both parts very well.
I have the same interior, no idea if its the original but its just a normal eunos.
Is yours a convertered supercharger?
What are your sills like?

Probably an issue with the suspension.
The 70's and 80's cars were really unique and require alot of fettling to keep them in good nick.

Impressive, but not as charming.

They need some rubber feet on their little steps.

ah, hello you fucking cunts.
why brm's mg sits sooo high.
pfft - dumped to the weeds! i am gathering the bits for the front end at the moment. got some new brake disks at an mg show last weekend - £11 each! got almost everything else. shocks, ARB and bearings to go.
converting to bolt-on wheels, too, so hubs and shit need changing.
I'm digging the toyo, too.
Unladen spring height means nothing, long springs allow for droop. I changed springs to ones which were 5" shorter, the car dropped 20mm.
BRM's MG is heavily laden. If you know what I mean ;-)
hey, fuck you buddy. i only came on here for a brief visit - dammit said you had bought anMX5. (nice, btw) :)
Richie be 3-wheeling baby....
ha! i DEMAND a spin in the lorry. :)

Get to Goodwood?
-
• #10892
was supposed to go today on an audi tent pass, but plans were scuppered late yesterday. not too upset - i am getting a bit pissed with the crowds at goodwood on the weekend days. i was also at mg live last weekend (which was better than it sounds!) at silverstone.

MG live? I guess yours wasn't there.

ha - the brockley express is running better than it ever has. new electric fan, recurved dizzy and electronic ignition (finally) fitted last week. fuck - really should have done that first!
as usual, it didn't go as smoothly as it could have. there were a couple of 10 o'clock at night sessions before silverstone, with dammit bring shiploads of tea down to the garage.
-
• #10895
shiploads?!?
-
• #10896
Tea did technically come in on ships. As you lot were going out on them.

One pound poms maybe, but not homosexual bread thieves.

that mg is normal height, the wheels don't even go inside the guards.

yep. about an inch lower than std rubber bumper and about half an inch higher than chrome bumper. two inches lower than before at the back!
look at the difference:
there's a bit of bump steer, so any lower and it is time to change to a cb crossmember. which means new steering rack. given the already stellar speed and the f1 like handling of the car, I don't think i'll bother.
you bought that toyota yet?
Looking nice NH. I'd agree with getting a Bee R or something similar, they sound awesome!
Are smaller pulleys easily available for these?
looks wise, it's really tidy. if it was mine I'd put wider wheels on it and lower it but that would probably ruin it! hahaha
