Good work. Mini's (well, the older ones) are IDEAL first cars. There's a shit-load you can do to them as well.

Amateur. Needs a proper one.
Besides, personalized plates are for the lower-range Mercedes drivers at golf courses.

Hmmm.... '96 so it's going to rust even quicker than the earlier ones. Take a magnet to feel for filler. Ask if rust has been repaired or panels have been replaced. If he says there was no rust, then he's lying or doesn't know which are both just as bad as each other.
Ad lists no parts, only says that stuff has been done.
Too much chrome, those chrome seam covers and overriders are tacky as hell and will look shit after one winter. Those wheels will bubble and go spidery after one winter. Get rid of the clear rear lights, they always let water in and mist up, not to mention the OG lights look better.
I hope you have small feet as centre consoles seriously reduce space in the footwell and he's got a speaker in there too!
This makes it look like a promising example, in terms of quality of restoration.

I will be getting rid of the clear lights yep, and was going to get the wheels sprayed black.
Where should I check for rust/repairs with magnets especially?
So from what you can see then it is a good example? -
• #10314
Don't spray the wheels black, it will be cheaper to sell and buy new ones.
With regards to where...? Everywhere.... LOL.
Front panel below the lights. Flitch and a-panel. Bottoms of the doors - both the actual bottom and the bottom of the door panel. In front of the rear arch. Sills. Boot hinges. Check to see if the actual sills have been repaired or the dreaded oversills have been welded on top - big no no. See if it has been undersealed/waxoyled. Lift the carpets up and have a look to see if there's any rust under there.
If it has been restored properly then it looks like a good example.

At least one...

Yeah I owned one classic Mini but I immersed myself in the scene for a good number of years. Seen and been in some batshit insane Minis and had the pleasure of meeting many awesome people.

I think i must have underestimated the power of that 4 cylinder Volvo if it's running in the 6.8's, what power would you need for that?
that rx3 is a steel bodied car with glass, i think prob 1400kg or 3000lb.
i'd hazard a guess that the volvo would be minimum 1600 fwhp, but much lighter car.

-
• #10323
It all falls apart when you see the kit car interior
The rear wings fall away in a strange fashion. Like the mould sagged. -
• #10324
what the mini???

No the Aston - I think it looks terrible.
Picking up first car tomorrow!
