  • I try but somehow I just *have *to find out what's happening in Birmingham.

  • i can't believe how pompous your incessent spelling correction is maybe there should be a grammer/punctuaton/spellin subsection for old people who like that kind of thing.,

  • Get used to it. 'metres'.

I find it amusing that in a long 'rant' where there are at least four words spelled incorrectly, you choose to take exception to a word that is spelled correctly.

  • too much spare time

  • why don't you take your own advice and ignore it then??

    Pratini

Obviously I'm fascinated by your devasting wordplay.
    "Pratini"
    My aching fucking sides....

  • why don't you take your own advice and ignore it then??

    Pratini

actually that's a very good idea not yet tried adding somebody to my ignore list.
it will be like cancelling a subscription to the daily mail and the retired english teachers journal in a couple of clicks.

Oh sorry, I didn't realise we were discussing gas meters. I thought it was a distance thing.
    Prick.

  • Oh sorry, I didn't realise we were discussing gas meters. I thought it was a distance thing.
    Prick.

Sorry, douche... but 'meters' is also the correct spelling for the metric unit in countries that speak American English.

If you're going to be so pedantic, you ought to do your homework first.

  • similar thing happened to me in italy. was leading a group of 4 at 36mph. thank fuck we didnt get hit.

Feel free if you're really that stupid.

I thought you had a bit more about you, but, hey....

No it isn't. It is the incorrect spelling. Just because the entire population of the United States makes the same spelling mistakes does not make it right ;-)

  • d'oh!

  • Sorry, douche... but 'meters' is also the correct spelling for the metric unit in countries that speak American English.

I stand corrected then, and bow to your obviously superior knowledge.
    Oh.
Sorry - you don't get irony, do you?

  • Platini you are a shaft.

    No I don't.

    'devastating'

There should also really be a comma after 'obviously'.

(I reckon it's OK to correct Platini.)

  • similar thing happened to me in italy. was leading a group of 4 at 36mph. thank fuck we didnt get hit.

    36mph?

    Downhill, presumably?

    On multiple-geared bikes, presumably?

Did you all do a synchronised rim-scraping skid?

  • Platini you are a shaft of golden sunlight that illuminates and delights equally.

    I agree.

  • 'devastating'

(I reckon it's OK to correct Platini.)

You're right about the typo, wrong about the comma.

  • You're right about being wrong about the comma

  • Did you all do a synchronised rim-scraping skid?

If they did, the skid better had read 'copyright asm® industries, ltd' otherwise I'm going to sue their gears off.

  • I have been smarting for a week since my last run in with Platini the spelling bee. My only defence is that if you include American English for my University I have to know how to spell in three languages. Up until now I have been too lazy to proof read my posts that is about to change. No more shoddy posting from me I should ruddy cocoa!

  • it's spelled 'Englash'

  • i thought it was ingrish?

There's no reason for you to need to know how to spell words in American English. Of course, if you find the need to go around correcting other people's spelling, it might not be a bad idea.
