This whole thread is the Forum at its worst, if the dude wants to sell his bike, and someone wants to pay that kind of money, then fair enough - i am sure plenty of people would rather pay 600 quid for that, which has some nice parts, than equivalent, or 100 quid less for a Langster Monaco, Giant 1984 etc if i was looking for a bike i could jump on straightaway and start tricking on.
Who says its a giant, there are hundreds of generic track frames that look like that with fuck all difference between them, he doesnt pretend its a BMX brand, but a tribute? I mean DFP do you want a fucking medal or something?
It seems these days that we would all rather slag of a bike than either appreciate it - it is what it is, and if its not your cup of tea, so what, he trying to sell it not seek your approval.
On the other side the seller shot himself in the foot with that picture of cash in his sock - a picture like that was only going to invite ridicule.
If we could still rep i would neg rep everyone (including myself for bothering to get sucked in!) who has posted on this thread - its like a fucking kindergarten argument, "look at me i found out its not really a BMX" vs "fuck off or i will get oops upside your head"

it's definately a giaint... DFP even tracked the decals he put on it. Rep DFP for spotting that.
Regardless of whether or not someone wants to pay money for it, or whether the parts are nice, the guy is passing this off as something that it is not. He knows what he is doing. It is the forum at its BEST that stopped some poor hipster from buying a bike that is not what it first seems...

my 2p is that it's fair enough for people to buy and sell what they want on here, the forum opens everything on here up to a fairly knowledgeble scrutiny so hopefully people won't feel like they're getting ripped off.
ideally no-one will make a shed load of money from pulling the wool over other forumenger's eye's.The comment in the opening post which annoys me a little is the fact that the bike has never been ridden, which I take to mean that it has been been built purely to sell for profit. Not really in the spirit of the classifieds section on here.

decals £21.95 exactly the same (have a look for yourself in for sale section). i must say though, that bike looks ok to me even if it ain't what he said it was. £700 a bit steep though, more like £400? -

+1, if you don't want it, stop slagging the guy off. i met him on sat, he's actually a nice guy. this thread is the worst. and i can see why a hell of a lot of the older forum members have left to be honest.

I hope all you inflamatory little cunts are proud of yourselves. As Murtle and a few others have said this thread is a demonstration of just how terrible this forum has become.
Veloctiy Boy did an amazing thing in starting this place up, providing a wealth of knowledge and fantastic little community.
It appears that at 5501 members (at the time of wiriting this messgae) that the quality has dissipated. No one cares about each other any more. Just because some of the older forum members know each other very well and mock each other frequently does not mean that every fucking newbie has the right to slate everyone and eveything.
This thread, and some other like it, make me ashamed to be part of this forum.

They've seen that things are not running in a manner in which they find happiness and have moved on. In their cases absence of words dictate action. I respect them for their commitment.I will continue using this forum for arranging parts of my social life but it will be in a less obvious way. I'm sick to fucking death of the frequenters who are dragging FGSS down to the level of every other testosterone driven, narrow minded, sexist forum on the web.

constant stupid pointless posts should have the persons account disabled / grounded for a week
or maybe get everyone to re-apply for their user names anybody getting black balled is OUT!
