Could you not eat Jesus's bodyweight in Hippy?

Actually, nevermind, that would only be about a leg.

94.7kg currently. May the force be with you ;)

  • spotted you guys this morning, my bike was parked outside a yellow shop on grays inn road about 9:45 ish

  • Were you in the doorway of said shop?

  • I don't know if pigeon pisumo and dropping flights of steps several times was the best way to end the ride but it was fun at the time, though maybe my wheels would disagree? :)
    Merry christmas everybody!!!
    Now onto cooking the dinner!

  • cheers for a great morning everyone, a unique route from Object; taking in the usually most congested spots, now blissfully empty and quiet.

Good to meet you al and put names to faces - Hippy, Wayne and CliveO I'll keep in touch for riding with gears, brakes, lycra that sort of stuff - Jaygee, VeeVee, thanks for the tasty treats - Scott nice to meet again - Object cheers for organising and eading the route - and everyone thanks for the constant offer of a dance with the demon booze; alas, I'm keeping clean for a big ride tomorrow.

Just done the final tweaks on a gorgeous S-Works Ultergra E5 I've been building and took it for a spin. It's flipping awesome, off the scale in terms of acceleration, it's been a great day. C'mon Object; maybe there is some Christmas magic after all?

Enjoy the rest of your day everyone, I'm off to get really filthy with the Muckoff, degreaser and the b@stard strong coffee. Woohoo.

  • First time I've been spotted and what a brilliant way for it to happen. Off out for a quick hour's spinning through deserted streets when a shout of "Clive" rings across from the other side of Oxford Street. There is Lebowski waiting for the ride which came moments later. Good to see old friends and meet others who had been but virtual before. Really enjoyable followed by a smart dash home. One of the best short rides ever. Wonderfully empty streets. Just like London ought to be.

  • Were you in the doorway of said shop?

i was indeed, i could only make out teddy's distinctive bike

  • C'mon Object; maybe there is some Christmas magic after all?

No worries dude, good to have you along.
As for the magic, I'd say it's in the people not the day...

  • ...or the degreaser fumes. Mmmmm. dizzy. ...ugggg.

  • Thanks everyone for this great ride. I had a very good time.

    Merry Christmas.

  • Thanks for coming on the ride you bunch of lovable cunts. x

Don't qualify. I'm in the supercunt domain.

  • i could only make out teddy's distinctive bike.

    My only memory.

  • And it squeeked, delighted -2% perfect. Much better.

  • Jokes aside that was one of the epic rides, and superthanks to Object who would rather have stayed in bed with 7 Margueritas.

  • i was indeed, i could only make out teddy's distinctive bike

In that case, consider yourself spotted.
I thought about stopping to hassle you to join but would've been left behind.. and hippy doesn't need that with his nav skillz.

  • haha! :)

  • Now that's funny - like Santa at a school disco.

  • We have chocolate brownies, millionaires shortbread (2 for £3.50 ftw) and glazed chestnuts. I have a small quantity of JD. V has smooties. All stocked and ready to roll.

I just remembered - you gave me a shot of JD at the top of the hill past King's Cross. About the time we were wondering whether Adrienne's boiled eggs and toilet paper were related.

I had a nap after lunch and dreamt I threw a spoke on my front wheel and did an endo - and you all left me, bleeding in the road, and carried on.

I'll echo Object. It's the people, not the day. But the day gave us open roads in the City that we could ride three abreast down.

I've had too much to drink and I'm on a protein high.

  • A few pictures:

Wicked day guys. Thanks to everyone, especially Em for taking charge. Hope you guys (Scott and Em) had a good evening last night and not too much bacon wrapped bacon left-overs!
