Lamacq later:
tell us about your real life Prodigy Experiences. Are you called Charlie? Have you ever been to Outer Space? The best fire that you started? Or tell us about the time you smacked your.... erm, well, anyway, here's the latest news headlines.

Lamaq must be loving it. '92 must surely be his very best year ever

T shirt day is back again in November . Probable radio head or the fall to win this year. Swans public castration would get my vote .

Inspiral Carpet's 'Cool as fuck' would be a worthy winner.

Radcliffe and Maconie Sunday morning show so much better (and funnier) when it’s just Maconie.

They're like a bickering old couple, gets on my tits.

Now I’m just pleased they are giving each other a bit of space to do some self care and work things out.

they sound like they're being paid by the word, but those words don't have to make any sense or be in any particular order or relevance to whatever they're talking about just as long as they're talking ( and ideally over each other, for which they get paid double )
give 'em an hour each and up the listenership by 200%
to be fair though, the other dj's aren't much better, there is a lot of twaddle spoken by them all
i'm fed up with having my " mind explored " by various dj's

Does anyone know if the Radio Garden website or app would work through a VPN?
I used to listen to something on there daily but can't really be bothered with trying to find the sites for various stations to listen that way.

From what i saw the vip free ones have to be renewed each month or you pay defeating the object of garden . Plus the many add spybots then will not work.
Found this though

All day 80s today.. no clue why they feel further restricting their output is a good move.
It’s barely past 7am and they are already relying on jive-bunny style ‘mega mixes’
I guess I’ll be catching-up on podcasts today

Craig Charles had a section yesterday talking about Jools Holland, FFS.

Covering why he should be killed, how he should be killed, whether to destroy his piano with explosives or trebuchet, etc?

80's music (as opposed to music that just happened to come out during the 80's) is invariably shit

I hadn't realised that's what it was. I'm quite enjoying it.

Just found this thread (doh) and and it was an interesting read on a slow morning.....
I for one CELEBRATED the day Sean K got the push. At long F***g Last!
What a lazy, tedious, both boring and bored-sounding man. I'd been following him (and LL) from their Xfm days and to hear the same (dull) "features", grandad jokes (none of which were funny) was totally off-putting and got me reaching for the dial immediately. I've no doubt Craig Charles is doing a million times better in terms of audience in that slot.Loving Gilles P's show (he's one of my heroes I guess), Tom Ravenscroft, The Great Iggy (that voice!), Cerys, Huey.
And Jamz to a certain degree (is she getting a bigger show on R6 now that she's left R1Xtra?).
Need to listen more to Don Letts and Nimone. Plus Gideon Coe.
Secretly in love with MAH. (oops)
I'd vote out immediately: Radcliffe and Maconie (pair of hairy bikers of the airwaves), and Mark Riley. (anyone with a Northern accent basically). And Lamacq of c. -

Been a listener for the last 10/11 years and it still amazes me how much airtime Radcliffe and Maconie get.
Giles P slot on Saturday afternoon the best thing on the station. LL in the mornings is fine, MAH midweek is generally pretty good.
I don't think Craig Charles works on the Keaveny slot, I'd like them to put someone else on that and he keep the Saturday night funk n soul gig.
And bring back Jarvis Cocker on sunday afternoon
they're even playing orb tracks so you can chill out in the car on the way back from the prodigy track
