Thank you, I've been lurking around this thread for some time, shaking my head at the ludicrousness of it all.

Generally speaking I take my wife as the litmus test of anything to do with women's oppression or not. thus, sexual slavery, prostitution, 11 year old girls thinking pussy cat dolls are something to aspire to, the sexualisation of absolutely everything (and i include sexualised advertising designed to get us to buy bikes) = bad; grown men enjoying looking at photos of women on bikes = not bad.

Some time ago on this very thread, I was enjoying looking at a photo of a naked lady her lady-garden obscured by the head tube of a rather nice italian steel frame, the make of which escapes me. Anyway my wife who was sitting next to me observed this and said 'the sad thing is you're not even looking at the woman'. And she was partly right.

My point is this: while I'm aware that mitre tester has been the target of an awful lot of vitriol, and the willing participant in this debate, his above post made me spill my tea and has finally given me a grin after about 10 pages of gruelling, and may i point the finger at you here mitretester, frankly prolix debate.

We're all adults here. If anyone really wanted to have a sneaky shuffle they can go and look at some real porn. I certainly am not going to be told by anyone on here whether or not it's ok for me to look at someone's bum, that's for me to decide.

Much of the text on here reads like a poor 6th form politics essay: 'cos like george bush and bliar [sic] are being manipulated like by the military industrial complex like what that noam chomsky says man' &c, &c. ffs folks, a little perspective please.
