lol... my FTP is just over a third of a british horse power
-
• #1078
this basically tells me i should be riding a horse not a bike....
-
• #1079
Yet you can ride a bike faster then a horse. Go figure.

Threshold in horsepower is pretty unimpressive number
Use millihorsepower and your numbers become a third bigger than they are in Watts

Assuming that James Watt's ideal 33000ft.lb.s-1 draught horse was in the region of 2000lb, a 50lb Eohippus would produce about 25mhp

he looks like he's mid-stroke there

As in brain injury type stroke or as in knocking one out? Probably appear much the same I'd guess.

Really hoppy beer is good for limiting my beer intake.
Which is good for improving CdA.

3T looked to have dropped the Ventus: it's no longer listed on their website.
i-Ride still list it, albeit out of stock.
The Vola seems to have had a makeover (now listed as "Vola 2015") and based on price (for the LTD) looks to be the Ventus' replacement.
Does anyone know more, such as if there's something else in the pipeline?

Any updates planned for the Sonic ahead of the 2016 season?
-
• #1091
That rather depends on how much work I get: I'm selling-off bits of it, rather than buying at the moment...

Is there a recommended entry level helmet that's good for (long) TTs without being too pointy/sperm/vader?
-
• #1093
The one that's most aero for your position, whilst providing things like enough ventilation for your noggin.
I started with a Kask K31 or whatever it was called, then moved to a Bell Javelin. Both pretty spermy. I now use an Evade on the road. Depends if you want to be fast or give a shit about looks?
-
• #1094
Maybe an aero-road helmet would be more suitable if you're worried about looking a bit Mekon. Something like a Giro Synthe or Specialized Evade?
Personally if I'm going to be wearing a TT lid, I'll also be wearing a skinsuit and hi-viz velotoze, so I realy don't care what I look like.
IM Wales?

If you're not disciplined in holding your head in the proper position, which is obviously hard in a 12hr, then a Bambino could be the least worst option.
-
• #1096
If you're going to ride a 12hr, you'll have plenty of time training to get used to riding in the correct position.
-
• #1097
I doubt I'll be doing any rides longer than 4hrs in prep tbh
-
• #1098
Weak.
I mean, that's plenty of time to work on holding a position. Especially as you'll be doing it more than once.

If anything, I've found holding my position for a 100 easier than a 10.
Threshold in horsepower is pretty unimpressive number to throw around. I could understand the resistance to it's use.
