  • catalogue item 253/3393 is without doubt one of the best budget timepieces ever produced.

however, it's not a "hipster" watch (whatver "hipster" means). The "gold" one probably still is though Crispin, you flash swine.

Lurker I'm happy for you even though you soared over your original budget by up to 500% - may have you have many happy moments glancing at your watchface and going "oh shit, I didn't realise it was that late".

  • Gold Casio, Camberwell College of Arts, circa 2005 = none-more-hipster

  • 97 was probably* the* hipster year for the cheap gold / silver casio but in those days it was just known as being a bit trendy. course the red LED readout gold digital watch was straight creamsville all the way back to about 91.

  • Hipsters don't wear Omega Speedmasters do they? I bloody hope not.

  • Nnnnnnnggggggg!

  • cripsin are you in the throes of something there?

  • ^ Jesus, that is a disaster!!!

  • these things go for about £900

  • ok, question, can anyone point me in the direction of a nice girl's watch? open to anything at the moment. christmas looms...

  • check out Follie Follie they have a shop in Westfield and some other places - nice designs, good pricing, good quality

  • sorry to bring up an old thread.

does anyone know where i can get a gold casio, apart from a fleeting romance with a nike watch when i was 14, ive always had casios and i dont really like any other watches. i learned to read the time on a black one when i started school, then got silver ones when i was 15 or so. i really fancy a gold one now, and my current one has no silver left on it so its probably i good time for a new one. i didnt know they did red led ones, i like the sound of that.

i have several that a really quite old and still running accuratly. my oldest ive had for 9 years and is still running the origional battery i bought it with. i think thats pretty amazing.

id really like one with a heart moniter.

i couldnt care less if they are hipster

  • Almost anywhere. Tinternet is full of them. Argos has a few.

Get on ebay and get vintage. The prices have dropped a lot in the last few years.
