Just spoke to my mate Steve Goff. I thought I recognised the profile of that tubing - my fork legs are made out of a downtube Steve had!
Steve bought the last 50 sets of that tubing ever imported to the UK, and used the last piece he had to make my forks. The last seatpost he had went years ago (though he does still have a top clamp section, which you can rotate on those posts to allow you to align your seat properly as the post itself won't rotate)A few years back he said he had a carbon post made by HQ fibre products, a carbon specialist down south. It was expensive but he thinks it'll be your only option, as they really are rocking horse shit.
Give them a call, explain the problem and how you got their number and see if they've still got the kit to make you one! -

I'm not sure, if you give them a call someone there might well remember how they did it last time!
I'll talk to Steve about the clamp if it turns out you did need it.Any chance we could see a photo of this rare beast?

it may be a hassle but imagine how little drag you'll get from your seatpost ste!
