Hey,
Unfortunately I've got to reduce the size of my fleet and have decided to sell two of my road bikes. For those that don't recognise the bikes I work in a bike shop with Craig (rockabilly) and you can be assured they are both excellent quality and have been lovingly maintained. The first is my Casati Challenge 59cm. This is an scandium/carbon frame handbuilt in italy around 2004. The full carbon forks, seat stays, and tubing is made by Dedacciai. Also includes original Casati Carbon seatpost. Specification is outlined below:
Wheels: Fulcrum racing 7
Tyres: Bontrager Race X lite
Shifters: Campag Chorus 10 speed
Brakes: Campag Chorus
Derailleurs: Campag Veloce
Cranks/BB: Campag Centaur 53/39
Headset: Campag Record Carbon
Cassette: Campag Veloce 13-26
Chain: Campag Veloce 10 speed
Stem: FSA
Bar: Scott anatomic
Seat: Specialized Toupe Team 143The derailleurs, cassette, chain, brakes, headset, and BB have only done a couple of hundred miles and are in pretty much brand new condition. The rest of the components are all in very good condition.
Brand new this bike would have been well over £2000. I'm looking for around £600
The second bike is my beloved Gazelle Champion Mondial 58cm. The frame and forks I believe are from the mid 80's and are both made from good old Reynolds 531c. Spec below:
Headset: Shimano Ultegra
Stem: Cinelli
Bars: Nitto
Brake Levers: ITM , hand polished from black ano to the chrome finish you see. It took me fucking days.
Brakes: Campag Avanti dual pivot
Rims: Campag Moskva
Tyres: Continental Ultra Gators
Hubs: System EX / Token 15T sprocket
Cranks/BB: FSA Gossamer external bearing (may not fit with period of bike but they stiffen her up nicely)
Chainring: Sugino BMX 43T
Chain: KMC 710SL
Seatpost: Shimano DURA-ACE
Seat: Charge Knife TitaniumNot really sure what this one's worth so i'm gonna go for £400.
I'm open to offers, and if you would like any parts swapped almost anything is possible. For example I have brooks saddle and bar tape that could go on the gazelle if you would prefer.
I have a selection of pedals (spd/look/flats) that you can choose from.
Also before sold both bikes will be fully disassembled and rebuilt to ensure everything is working 100%.
For more pictures/info/questions post on here, viewing can be easily arranged in Manc city center.
Cheers!

Anyone got a set of old alloy 700c road wheels with a rear hub that will take a screw on 5-speed block....?
-
• #673
I've got the original wheel from the Gazelle, fairly sure its 700c with either 5 or 6 speed screw on freewheel. I'll dig it out the loft and check probably on monday. also got an old Mavic MA40 on shimano front hub knocking about somewhere. I'll try and get some photos up in next few days, or if i remember and get up early enough i'll take em to work tomorrow.
Price=beer or swap for something interesting. Was going to keep incase I wanted to convert the gazelle back to geared one day but I doubt this will ever happen.

Goggins... sounds perfect, they don't need to be anything fancy just to go on an old frame that's had the wheels nicked from it to make it rideable.....
Let me know if you get them into town... not sure where you live? i could collect.... what's you beer of choice...? or what interesting things you after....?

Just to let you know I am opening offers on Lilly, my beautiful Aende track frame. The thing is I never use it and it seems criminal not to. I have too many bikes and it means pure beauties like this never get ridden. I'm in no rush to sell or anything and it's just frame and forks, though if you really want I can sell it as a full bike (if so let me know and I'll send component details)
it's possibly the most beautiful track bike ever made (after pan). I'll add some close ups of the glorious lugwork etc. soon. It's a 52cm frame I think but shall check. would suit anyone around the 5'9" mark. It's steel but real light and used to belong to a track rider called lilly (hence the name)
PM me any offers/ questions please
the lincolnshire poacher is finally here, if youre looking for a 50's influenced club racer frame.
photos dont do this mellow riding frame justice ;)
we have a new lad start before i leave PX... he's running special needs/promotions...
on-one track hubs, mks sylvans and navigator wheels here...
and economy stronglight single chainsets and the z'light track chainsets here
and we're expecting a BIG drop of pompino's later this month...
can pick up for mcr crew for regular delivery beer tax before i leave...
