Hi, does anyone have a **27 1 1/4" wheelset with alloy rims** kicking about that they want to convert into beer/cash looking for something that has a screw-on rear cassette/freewheel, nothing fancy... anybody....?

Has anyone got a Lockring tool i can borrow for today? i wanna take my lockring and cog off to see if i just have a loose lockingring or if ive threaded the hub like Ste suggested...

il rotafix your cog on using the amazing method and then it will never come loose, il be at tricks for an hour or so from 5.45 onwards

I think I've got a set in my basement. Might have a bit of surface rust tho. Will have a look for you when I get home today...

Cheers..... not to be a pedant, but if they "might have a bit of surface rust" then surely they'll be steel/chrome rims.... not alloy? unless you're talking about the spokes/hubs...? be great if you could check tho'

Cheers biles, ill pop down to tricks for a bit. ive tightened it with a hammer and screwdriver at the mo, but didnt take it off to check the thread.
