  • Pretty much need everything, volunteering at Pedal MCR has cemented my want for a road bike haha.

Got about £150 to spend (at the moment) and i'd rather build one up than buy a complete bike though I don't mind a beater to "do up".

I appreciate that budget is low but feel free to offload your crap on me! Probably best to PM me rather than spamming this thread up? I'm in Withington and can collect all over Manchester.

    Ta x

  • Got a few bits and pieces for sale in the main 'for sale' thread.

Hope it's OK to cross-post here...

You need to scroll down a few posts as the forum went a bit wonky and deleted my original post.

  • How much for those forks collected? I see someone has dibsed them already though :(

  • I'm just waiting on payment from someonebefore declaring them officially sold. 2nd dibs them if you like and I'll be in touch if it doesn't pan out. :)

2nd dibs it is! Thanks :)

  • Does anyone know if Harry Halls do rear Aerotracks?

  • Vinny will, what with working there and all.

If this is still available, this might be a good start...: http://www.lfgss.com/post2838538-3759.html

It'll save you a ton of money on building it yourself.... if you really want you could take it apart and re-assemble it..!

  • Charge plug is cool you will be cool like me. Lol

  • Don't really see the plug as a 'road bike'. I love mine but at the end of the day it's a street SS / Fixe with no bottle, guard or rack mounts and no way to add gears unless you fancy a retro Sturmey hub gear. Great bike for zipping around town or gearing down for polo but not really a road bike.

  • Bit of a long shot but does anyone have something like a Raleigh Twenty they want rid of?

  • There was an awesome Raleigh burner at the thing I'm working at the other day, but other than that, no.

  • Quite a few going on ebay atm. I've always been put off the twenty by the strange BB threading though, makes it a complete git to put anything more modern / sealed in there unless you go with one of the BB's designed for frames with buggered threads.

  • Paul still do the replacement BB cups I think.

I'm just trying to get Lucy back into riding and she likes the idea of something small and easy to get in/out of the flat and potter around on, I'm trying to convince her that a light-ish steel road frame would be fine/better (she has a huge clunky hybrid monstrosity at the moment that she hates) but she seems set on the little shopper-style bikes at the moment

They used to sell lots. Id expect so, any shop that buys from ID will be able to order them.

A noble cause. If you've not already then this thread is well worth a look:

There are a few other makes that would fit the requirements and have a similar look.

I've a Raleigh Jeep good to go, but if she's over 5ft it's probably too small.
