Has anyone got a geared road bike they want to sell?
a 56 or something suitable for 5ft8When i get one I'm going to sell this:

I thought about that but my bike mechanic skills are basic at best, i assumed it would be beyond me or an expensive job at the bike shop. Am i wrong?

always takes longer than you think and it would mean buying certain tools. Some things may not fit etc. Ask at Bike Boutique, chan did it once don't know how much it was

^^ if you're careful over frame choice then you can make it simpler job to swap over. E.g. If geared look at braze on vs band on front mech etc and then tube diameter if band on.
Am sure the collective of Manc would have the tools you need to lend or for a beer here or there too. I've got a headset press for starters...

I went down to BB and GBH today to talk costs (£35 and £45) and look at frames, all really helpful but no joy with finding a frame as yet. I'm about to scour the internet now. Thanks for the offer of help, I might just need it if I find a frame.
