im so confused. hugely new to all this, but when is it ok to chastise people for their "hipster bits"? ive been collecting bits and bobs lately (with mixed success) for a new bike and have been getting all these weird thoughts: "oh god, this carbon fork is a bit flash innit" "balls, i'll be getting stick for my bontrager race wheel and mtb stem" etc. thing is, i really like that wheel on yours and was considering something similar for my rear wheel, but dont quite think ive got the balls for it yet.

Just build your bike up and ride it mate, no-one (in Manchester at least), will give much of a fuck and certainly won't criticise it (to your face anyway !). However, if your going to post pics of it on a message board, then you've got to accept criticism.

do whatever you want, no one cares too much and everyones friends anyway, finding a fancy hipster wheel can be expensive, i looked for months before finding a reasonably priced one that wasn't a tub (tubeless)

Nah I sold that, I'm riding the wave of the next big thing in cycling.
I'm buying one of these and seeing if I can in some way put more gears and suspension on it. Sus seat post and one of those insane ninties syncros suspension stems. -

That is exactly and only where I will be shopping for this bike.
I'm going to try and get a vintage one though, like a classic 2003 model.

upload your bike and we'll (mainly me, if you have risers) will unconstructivly criticise it. im sure most ppl will have spare crank bolts, i got some, not fancy hex ones though. comeplaypolo.
Ste, wtf is up with that image!? its like trying to get pics of nakked ladies on a internet connection from 20 years ago.

Fuji track might go cheap, if I had the monie I'd possibly buy it now, but all I need is the frameset and it would leave me skint until I sold the other bits, so if anyone is intrested in buying and splitting please let me know =D
ah, too small. Good luck with the sale
