"Quadruple Olympic champion Sir Chris Hoy will cycle in the velodrome on Tuesday, 27 July to mark two years to the start of the London 2012 Games.
Hoy, who won three track cycling gold medals at the 2008 Beijing Games, will be joined by other sporting stars at the event at London's Olympic Park."
Might be worth watching...

I thought that - but not unless you like watching Sir Chris riding very slowly around a fake mini (tiny) track inside the venue which seems to be made of white vinyl on a geared road bike, then Boris having a go, going very slowly and wobbling a lot while leaning forward suggesting the saddle was way to high for him after Hoy had a go but they hadn't adjusted it.
Why didn't they just wait till they'd built the track?!

Boris has been round the velodrome. Or a bit of paint where the track will be.
With some pointless commentary from the silly bint about wearing helmets.

Surely a few trailers, or better panier solution would be tons cheaper than more vans?

I was sent a link to the D@!ily M@!l version of this story. It's the first time ever I've seen sympathy for cyclists (well, posties on bikes) in the comments section.
Can't wait to pick up a postie bike and outfit on the cheap so I can ride hassle free.... every cloud n'all that. :D

Lots of poppycock claim about health and safety when they're really just trying to find a way to get rid of bicycles due to them being difficult with lots of package.
The German did it properly by getting a decent bicycle kitted out for such haulage instead of a basic Pashley whom are pretty crap in comparison to it's competitor;

Why would one make up a story about being bummed?

Even by the scum's stanadards it is quality journalism I'm not actually sure who he is but he's clearly not a great thinker - I love this quote:
"I think the Twitter thing was the point when I realised I was gay." So fancying men wasn't a clue...
How is this shit deemed news worthy?
