  • This could get messy, but defence is different than offence. If people are put in a position which requires them to defend themselves, go to it! I would like to think I'd be there (within reason. I'm not going to attack a group of people on my own. I am still a pussy).

Marching around streets hyped up on testosterone looking to give someone a booting is not a good thing.

Even worse if you're a racist ass hole.

agreed. i'm uncomfortable with the millwall crew. One of the Enfield mob sounded reasonable but yes there is potential for a lot of disaster there too. it's a shame it is the white right wingers who are coming out to act to prevent and not anybody else. Like you and Damo I'd gladly go if others would.

  • just a quick canvas. if it kicks off in your community would you go out to protect it? if not why not? and what would it take to get you out to defend it? (attack on your religious building, business etc)

I'd defend my home, my place of work can look after itself.

  • Those Millwall fans are just a bigger fatter version of what marched down my street last night. More poundage of gobby dunce for the fuzz to deal with when it does kick off... I assume they've all stayed off the booze and are clear about their rules of engagement right...? Right?

  • BBC doing a lingering closeup of attractive female riot police

  • ^^you could always sit them down with a nice cup of tea and talk to them about plumbing...

  • Right, who's going to Notting Hill Carnival this year?

Woah woah woah. I'm only up for tutting and sighing.

As far as I can tell, they all met up at a pub.

I'm sure they were on the shandy though.

  • Stop and search on my road: hooded yooooves

She can kettle me any day arf arf

BBC trying to get the perv's out too? maybe they'll fight with the football loughts.

  • @ClintI think that was a resigned sigh of being "done". Did you score last week?

is it me or does Dave C sound pissed when he talks? Trying to sound sober a little too hard.

can't remember. maybe not. oh yeah i put one through the keepers legs didn't I?

  • Ah yes.

  • Is Pasquale ok?

I read on the thread that his place got damaged and have not seen/heard anything since.

Alls quiet in NW10, and may it remain so.

Lots of love to the Forum for keeping me laughing in dark times

mos def, probs gonna get pissed and join in. Rioting is so much better when you're doing it and not stuck at home.

  • ^^^Pasquale's posted on the pizza thread.

  • BBC coverage of ANYTHING involves lingering close ups of attractive women. Wimbledon, F1, Looting. Its like Peter Stringfellow directs the live streams

  • Need to lose some weight to make the fitness test easier but yes I intend to apply in the next 6 months or so. At the risk of sounding like a macho twat it really would give me an enormous amount of satisfaction to collar a bike thief or some cowardly little shite that had victimised someone elderly or less able than themselves.

    I wouldn't.

Why the fuck would I try and defend a row of 1960's concrete high rises on a council estate?

There are no shops here, no religious buildings, no community centre... hell, there's no community.

I would bolt the door, fill the bath with water in case of fire, and sit here munching nice biscuits having a cup of tea.

    Thanks ThS

I havent checked that thread for ages, should have known.

  • load of fire engines now heading out of the city, thing about Manchester is all the kids rioting in the city centre don't live there , so they are going to disperse to all sort of areas of Manchester quite possible taking the destruction with them, thats gonna be difficult for the police resources to deal with.

  • so basically there is fuck all going on in london apart from millwall fans marching in eltham (miles away from millwall fc)? what an anti climax

  • Re: Protecting the community. I would gladly throw potatoes and harder objects from the safety of my third floor window but I wouldn't risk getting out there and fighting. If they tried to get into my house I'd go straight for the eyes with a kitchen knife though.
