Looks like Boris wanted it as soon as possible:
https://twitter.com/PaulBrandITV/status/1533710500604923904Guess it gives the plotters less time to organise and before the two byelection results come in

I forgot he came second to Boris last time around

No, it’s the same timetable as the last VONC.

Rules just say you should do it as soon as possible, am fairly sure Brady would use his discretion if it suited him

Got his pound of flesh out of Johnson. Now will cosy up to the next leader seeking his holy grail of chopping up the NHS...

You love to see it. Hope the party tears itself apart.

Admitting the Tory government prep for a pandemic was a shambles. She's a tactical genius.

Assuming the Wakefield byelection is the drubbing that is currently predicted, then a VONC after the 23rd would have had one likely outcome. With no obvious replacement, I am unsure what the outcome of this will be and would not be surprised if Boris manages to cling on.
Regardless, good to see the Tories appearing to implode.

As any valiant noble captain would. He's a hero.
Hopefully he drowns slowly and painfully.

He'll win comfortably tonight. Post June 24th I don't think he would have

2/9 currently to survive today with most bookies

I really hope he wins it, the privileges committee investigation is going to be brilliant, it's already rumour that carrie Johnson and other downing street staff will be called to give evidence regarding all the parties that weren't investigated by Sue Gray and the MET.
Johnson is highly likely to end up with a 10 plus day suspension and then there'll be a recall petition which only needs 10% and then he's not an MP anymore and fighting a by election.

If cons win the next election then I cant see us with another government in power in our lifetime

This humiliation would be worth him winning today, if it were really likely?

Surely Dom has one more bomb to drop this afternoon to nudge any waverers?

The issue I take with he’ll survive now but not in X amount of time is that I can’t see any gain for not voting him out now if the hypothesis are to be believed.
He'll be running then.
