Itv & Sky too.
They all empty chaired him.
None of the studio runners could get a Tub of Lard in time.

I caught a bit of BBC breakfast and they were going fairly hard on no-one being available for interviews.
From what I've seen in the past year or so the breakfast shows seem to be doing more to hold the government to account than most.

Why would they bother turning up to defend the indefensible? - accountability's for losers, especially when you have the whole system gamed in your favour.
-

Javid could have turned up and condemned it - he's clearly after the PM's job, this could have been a springboard to that. The only honest Minister in a government of crooks.

It also lobs a dead cat onto the news reels so they can swerve scrutiny over this

Fuck this Gov. Its so repellent. 🤮

Apparently Plan B is a go , working from home and vaccine passports a-go-go as a pretty desparate distraction.

I'm not sure this is going to go down very well with the general public.

But it'll distract everyone from the Party story and the legislation.
Is there pmq's today? Wouldn't surprise me if they empty chaired that too.

Mandatory rules are optional- Boris says so

Was Sebastian at the party in December then?

England and Wales for policing, not Scotland/NI.
It's weird how many papers talk about "the UK " even when some laws are devolved.
Unfortunately immigration is not devolved and neither are drug laws.
So we still end up with the BS on citizenship here in NI, and cannot offer any safe injection sites etc. But sure, middle class drug users...yep they are driving the heroin addiction among the homeless here in Belfast.
May seemed pretty authoritarian to me, but WTF Boris. Who has him in his pocket?

Unless you're on Crown property and/or are a Tory official of some kind.

So they leaked their own christmas party to distract us from the new legislation?
Or is the legislation to distract us from the sleaze & underhand deals of covid?
Is Brexit still relevant in any of this or has that gone now? There's so many cats flying around the place, it's difficult to remember what the main issue is which I suppose it exactly what they want.

The COVID taskforce has not even submitted papers to PM/Health Secretary for the decision making process which was due to take place next week re. "Plan B"
Boris/Number 10 decided this last night off their own backs as pressure is growing from Tory MPs re. the Xmas party and non-stop lying about it i.e. people who voted for "leopard who eats people faces" have become concerned about the level of actual face eating taking place.

As he wasn't at the party it looks like Boris will be throwing everyone who was under the bus.
In PMQs he says the Cabinet Secretary investigating and he just agreed with Keir Starmer that the details should be shared with the police. -

As he wasn't at the party it looks like Boris will be throwing everyone who was under the bus.
Isn't there a suggestion that he briefly attended one of the parties and gave a short speech?
-
• #68799
With Cummings suggesting there were also parties in the no 10 flat, and having just thrown all his staff under the bus, I expect leaked footage to emerge fairly quickly now.
I can't truly believe he used the same 'there wasn't a party, but if there was it was within the guidelines' answer again. -

One of??? There was more than one!
Sajid Javid didn't show for the BBC breakfast interview, first time since the pandemic there's not been a minister on I think
