Anyone on the list miss out on a job for unexplained reasons in the last few weeks? (Whips’ office will have known, obviously, of any allegations - so they’d have blocked any appointments for them)

Mark Francois was Minister of State for Communities and Resilience

Once the name is out, it will be easy to identify his member of staff who made the accusations. Anonymity will go.

I didn't check their work, but I saw someone claim that Andrew Selous and Mark Francois were the only two who hadn't tweeted during the time the accused was supposed to be arrested.
Apparently the relationship was public at the time, and Selous is married.

Mark Francois doesn’t have a Twitter acct

There is some history of people tweeting @MarkFrancoisMP_ but that account seems to be suspended at the moment

Mark Francois is now trending on Twitter. I see that a couple of years ago he had a Miss and a Mrs on his staff. The Linkedin of the Miss has been deleted at some point.

I expect he'll be charged quickly, so I doubt speculation as to who it is does any good at this point.

That’s exactly what I thought when I read it.... I know there’s a dearth of talent in the party but surely it can’t be that bad

I know this is an awful thing to say, but I hope it is Frank Mancois.

It’s rather helpful for whoever it is that the Tories have overseen the decriminalisation of rape.

Lol, your not alone

There is some history of people tweeting @MarkFrancoisMP_ but that account seems to be suspended at the moment
The "Mark ne Francois pas" account which has been posting daily updates in the style of Pepys plague diaries abruptly posted that it'd be having a few days off yesterday.

Art imitating life?

The Linkedin of the Miss has been deleted at some point.
Terrified staffers deleting their online presence after amateur internet sleuths like Collymore implicate random MPs.

As somebody else already said on here, once we all know who it is, the victim will soon be known as well, so let's spare a thought for them too.
And with the nastiness of far too many people, they may end up with beauties such as "It wasn't really rape/sexual assault", "why did you not go public", "why did you not go the police sooner" etc etc

coercive control
This is the default Tory policy on women. Will be hard for them to see what the crime is here.

the MP told the woman he would 'come after her' if she went to the
policeThat's the power dynamic right there.

They also voted to keep MP arrests secret:

I just noticed that Claire Fox was on the peerage list. Someone who was convinced the Bosnian genocide was faked and still thinks climate change is a conspiracy.
She's not even a close to Johnson, just another Brexiteer.
The idea that Johnson won his first major platform as LDN mayor on an anti-cronyism campaign becomes more offensive by the day.

Also defended the IRA bombing of Warrington. Being a terrorist sympathiser is fine so long as you also support Brexit.

News night seem to be suggesting that everybody in news rooms knows who the mp is but are choosing not to release the information following the Cliff situation.
Christ, I didn’t know that fuckwit had been a minister !
