To be clear, RLB retweeted an interview with famous actor Maxine Peak. In that interview, Maxine mentioned Israel.
It's pretty slim pickings really.

All I see, everywhere, is that she was sacked for retweeting the interview. She wasn’t though, was she? She was sacked for refusing to delete the tweet.

Sure - but if you, as a shadow cabinet member, don't stop to wonder whether that's a good idea at the minute, then I think you're leaving yourself exposed.

I did think it was odd that rather than just decrying the use of force that Israel was mentioned specifically.

Apparently it was reported in The Morning Star that some of the Minnesota police force attended an anti-terror conference in Israel eight years ago.
Additionally, the interview with Peake is hardly glowing in its appraisal of Starmer; if RLB didn't realise she was firing shots by endorsing it, she's not cabinet material.

Israeli police have been training US police since the early 90s:

Surely in another party, RLBs retweet and refusal to delete, would be referred to as a dog whistle to the party extremists?
-

Tbh, whilst it's interesting in terms of seeing what Starmer's plans are, it's just a big distraction. Theres a pandemic on, 65,000 people are dead and the government are a bunch of cunts.

That’s the way I see it. Labour are happy to fight between themselves whilst the tories will always unite and win, even during this shitshow.
-
• #61286
The Tories don't unite, they crush the internal opposition.

The Brexit period of Conservative MPs sinking May's deal, yet refusing to consider voting 'no confidence'. Cat and mouse drawn out internal revolt . Then they win on a platform of 'getting Brexit done' lol.

Meanwhile, in Montana, someone has pulled down a Ten Commandments monument in the grounds of the local County Court with his pickup truck. That's some defiant secularism, there.
