To be clear, RLB retweeted an interview with famous actor Maxine Peak. In that interview, Maxine mentioned Israel.

It's pretty slim pickings really.

All I see, everywhere, is that she was sacked for retweeting the interview. She wasn’t though, was she? She was sacked for refusing to delete the tweet.

Sure - but if you, as a shadow cabinet member, don't stop to wonder whether that's a good idea at the minute, then I think you're leaving yourself exposed.

I did think it was odd that rather than just decrying the use of force that Israel was mentioned specifically.

Apparently it was reported in The Morning Star that some of the Minnesota police force attended an anti-terror conference in Israel eight years ago.

Additionally, the interview with Peake is hardly glowing in its appraisal of Starmer; if RLB didn't realise she was firing shots by endorsing it, she's not cabinet material.
