Sorry for the rotation (not my pic)
It's on Shacklewell Lane, Dalston btw
It seems completely random and uncontrollable, spreading everywhere. Did they just set a bus alight there?

Tweeting "OMG I was in Lewisham just last month" is not really connecting you to tonights events

Is that TFL moving a burnt out bus?

I wonder if this is the peak, or if things will get worse tomorrow? The police need a visible win to turn things around.

I just feel powerless and stupid, and I really see no reason to pretend otherwise by cracking jokes now. It's a way of somehow trying to reassert control (in your mind) over a situation that you can't control now, and that is deadly serious in a way that anyone can see. Nothing wrong with typical forum style, which I like at most times. By all means joke if you must, but it's just the wrong time to me.
fair enough oliver. hope things calm down there soon.

Ha, it's the worse.
I heard (I believe) an MP for Croydon say he and his wife drove by that furniture shop not two days ago while shopping! Two days ago! And now it's gone!

Although it has calmed down for now, it's fucking tense around here. Every now and then you hear
something glass smashing, or something breaking... -

video of bloke getting pushed off Walworth Rd into Carter Place by police
clown, get the fuck out of there
yep. don't know why people have to get in the way and complain about perfectly reasonable treatment (like in the video, i am no police apologist in general)

I had to change the channel. It's depressing, but also not really news. His furniture shop made the best TV so now he's being interviewed (to make even better TV). The same story will be played out by many more people tonight.
News please, not drama.

RE: The Dolphin
I really hope it's just rumours too, there are only a few people mentioning it so hopefully it's false.
RE: The Star
My housemate said that people were smashing/looting it earlier, when I was up there just after things had calmed down a bit it wasn't burning just rubbish/bins outside.
