That isn't the point. This is a stunt that he doesn't expect to succeed - in fact he'd be disgusted if it did. He thinks gender self-identity is ridiculous and he's doing this to make that point.

@salmonchild It's almost certainly a stunt. Whether he's anti-trans or is just using it to provoke wider debate (or annoy people) is harder to tell.

It isn't. I have relatives that celebrate their birthday using a different calendar which isn't fixed relative to the Gregorian calendar.

Regarding comparison to trans issues I did read a piece a while back on people who believe they should be disabled/amputees, many going to extreme (cutting shit off) lengths to be in the body they believe they should be which was interesting.

Note: I do not have an issue with trans rights but do find dysmorphia issues interesting.
