But if Piers Morgan and Jeremy Vine don't like it....
-
• #54030
Vine's comparison with the trenches is rather odd, seeing as WW1 trench warfare famously caused a huge amount of psychological damage, which often went untreated due to the callous and outdated attitude of senior officers.
Jazz hands thing is pretty ridiculous though.

The irony is that listening to the raucous blaring and jeering of the Commons you wonder if they might not benefit from a bit of jazz hands to wind it back a bit and actually cultivate an environment of-if not respect-at least civility.

I wouldn't do it though. Would look like a fucking prick.

Not very inclusive for the blind community, is it.

It might generate a draught?

As Twitter points out - and Twitter knows all - these stories have cropped up over the last 4 years. Somehow the world survived.

Yes. But with lots of hand waving about it all.

'Three scientists have won the Nobel prize in chemistry for their work in harnessing evolution to produce new enzymes and antibodies.British scientist Sir Gregory P Winter and Americans Frances H Arnold and George P Smith will share the 9m Swedish kronor (£770,000) prize, awarded by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences.
Half of the prize goes to Arnold for her work on directing the evolution of enzymes – proteins that speed up chemical reactions. Her work has led to enzymes that have used to make high energy
while the other half of the award goes to Winter and Smith, for their work on “phage display of peptides and antibodies.” A phage is a virus that can infect bacteria, tricking bacteria to reproduce it. Smith genetically engineered phages so that they that encompasses out particular proteins crop up on the outer
The uses of Frances Arnold’s enzymes include more environmentally friendly manufacturing of chemical substances, such as pharmaceuticals, and the production of renewable fuels for a greener transport sector.
Arnold is only the fifth woman to be awarded the prize for Chemistry'

Very good. I can't remember if I'd heard of this before, but if I had it would probably have been on here. :)

I was going to post the video of T May dancing just now at the con conference, but didn't want to subject anyone to it during lunch.

Kind of sad she can't even say "fuck off, I'm not doing that" to her own PR team

The Tory PR team that brought you her eating chips, Gideon's burger, William Hague's cap and Boris playing celebrity football? They have quite a track record.

I'm hopping for a job offer.
I guess it depends on the factory and what you are making, but very good point.
