They're apparently now the best of a bad bunch and seen as the gold standard in the industry, which isn't saying much admittedly. Significantly less shitty and evil than they used to be, still pretty shitty and evil.

Edit.

I'm exactly the same as snotters, have made it a life long point to never buy Nike after the sweatshop stuff came to light. I sort of new it was a bit foolish, cause Adidas and Asics are just as bad I'm sure, but it felt like doing something. Maybe I need to look into this a bit more.
Dyson and Amazon are still shit though, right?

From personal experience Dyson is fucking shite.

They improved a lot because of the boycott, and are now as good or better than most similar brands, but aren't in any way good. Factories aren't fully open to inspection and don't pay living wages etc, but they don't actively use sweatshops. I've never bought anything since as none of it's really my kind of thing anyway, I've also not bought any Adidas since I had some of those pop up trackies first time round, think I got a pair of pumas about 8 years ago to play occasional indoor football.

Hope all Japan-based forumengers like @shinkuu_kiss are all right. Storms, floods, earthquakes, and landslides in the last few days. Not as bad as the tsunami but it still makes you wonder what it must be like living on the Pacific Rim.

I used to enjoy her late night show with Richard Bacon on 5live. Such a good pairing.
For those in the know, it was an honour & a privilege to listen back then. Shh.

Has the station manager made a formal public apology yet?

• #53839
So Boris' wife has finally had enough of him, like the rest of us.
(sweeping generalisation acknowledged)

• #53841
Yes, I've never understood the value to Marina Wheeler of pretending she was in a marriage to dePfeffel.
-
• #53842
Don't forget that Boris+Wheeler started off as an affair whilst Boris was married to his first wife. She knew what she was getting in to (umm, so to speak). Their youngest child is now 19, which might have something to do with the timing.
Has the name of the latest lucky lady been published?
dePfeffel
Never understood taking the piss out of his names, it's not as if he had any say in the matter (or what schools he went to).

Americans are crazy:
There was no dispute that Flores was impaired and riding his bicycle recklessly in and out of traffic leading up to the deadly encounter. Prosecutor Ryan Dooley said Biunno, Christopher Pfrimmer and a young woman occupied a vehicle that pulled over and waited for Flores on Riverview Drive.Pfrimmer and Flores squared off in a fist fight moments before Biunno shot Flores twice in the back and the trio “sped away leaving him to die,”

Now, acting like this is fine, but I thought he was some shitehawk in his early 20s, not a bloke ten years older than me. It'll be a ponytail next.

This isn't - this racist laundry hamper of butchers’ waste
Can’t find the link now, so this post becomes a pointless, but I recall reading a quite convincing report that Nike actually did clean up their act after the sweatshop protests and that they are now the best sportswear company in terms of transparency and corporate social responsibility. It was claimed that this process made Nike more expensive than its competitors, but as the customers followed after and were happy to pay more this became the start of a virtuous circle making Nike the premium brand that it is today.
But really can’t find that link tho, soz.
