On the comparison between cars and guns, in Nevada to drive a car you need to pass a vision test, a written test, and a driving skills test, in addition to providing proof of residency and identity, and of course you must have all this information recorded and present on an ID card any time you are driving. To own a gun in Nevada you need ID and $25 for a background check. Provided you're not a felon or an abusive spouse (at least so far as the law knows) you can purchase as many guns, magazines, and ammunition as you like. You don't need to know anything about how they work or even be judged to be physically capable of using one safely. And you can then carry them around in public as long as you'd like.

What are the odds.
Only if they were very long would I be even slightly interested. Lack of contenders being main issue. -
• #49357
Loads of contenders, DD, Boris, Hammond, Fallon.
-
• #49358
I don't see any of those as a threat.

the party is fucked, at least for the next 10 years. doesn't matter who's at the tiller when it all goes down.

I don't see any of those as a threat.
As a threat to what, May?
She's enough of a threat to herself to simply resign, triggering a leadership bid/general election.
I would put £20 on a GE before the end of November.
-
• #49361
Do it. However, again I don't see it happening.
None of those would improve their parties position IMO. Generally the Tories are always much more calculated and organised with leadership matters.

Are they normally totally stuck, unable to continue with a negotiation that defines how the U.K. interacts with other countries for the next period of its history?
-
• #49363
Would you like a wager with me on your first statement?
May gone by the end of tomorrow.Edit; I'll take one on a GE before end of Nov too.

Fr Dunne:
"TfL’s “state-sponsored, tax- payer-funded plans would do our
community more harm by removing our capacity for a bridal procession,
funeral procession and every other public expression of our Christian
identity than the Luftwaffe managed with its wartime bombs.”Godwin from a man of God.
