Non stop sirens here in Victoria. I wonder where they are headed? No sign of it kicking off in Westminster at present. Lets hope those helicopters are armed with some decent missiles

Oh wait. You don't need Sky for Sky News. I'm good with TV.
Cheers!

So I went home early to avoid getting stuck in any nonsense after hearing the reports about Hackney. It was eerie going along the route parallel to the town centre, hearing helicopters and almost drowned-out crowd noise from Mare Street. Few signs of anything wrong this far from the town centre. I do hope they manage to get the situation under control. This town centre hopping rioting/looting is just insane.

Do Chinooks generally fly in formation over S London ?
Quite often actually and at relatively low altitude. There aren't any tactical places to land one in or around the city so they would have to land miles away and then the response teams would have to be driven in. Pointless really. There will be no shortage of support if needed tonight.

It would have been seriously damaging to him if he hadn't. Still, the initial hesitation speaks volumes.

Hackney Downs is located conveniently close to Hackney Town Centre if they're looking for a place to land. So is London Fields.

It's weird watching the coverage, while listening to -
You see them flying over London occasionally. Often heading to/from the barrack in the City.
No. Is this like cycling? Is there a web page I can go to that specialized in live riot coverage?
