Wiggle buys CRC. Jobs in NI are being lost due to consolidation of warehousing.
To be expected, but still crap for here...

Further proof that our electoral system doesn't work.
I would generally support Labour, and I would be pissed off if I couldn't vote for a party that represented my views because some kind of deal had been done.
Our poorly-functioning system always means some kind of compromise is necessary, but this would be a compromise too far.

Fair point.
But just in case you're in Richmond, vote Lib Dem!
;)

I agree this is indicative of a shitty electoral system. However, I don't see it as underhanded. Parties don't have a duty to run candidates. If a party judges it for the political good to not run a candidate that's democracy in action. If someone is unhappy they can vote for another party (or run!).

Running is shit.

So you wouldn't have been among the neo-Nazis booing Tracey Brabin's by-election victory?
-
• #43158
Eh?

And then only by 4000 votes, before they became toxic
Lib Dems more toxic than the Tories?

At the by-election for Jo Cox's seat, because UKIP, the Tories and the Lib Dems all chose not to field a candidate out of respect, all that was left was a bunch of far-right fuckheads heckling and complaining about a lack of democracy.
I think your post explained well why their argument about it showing a failure of democracy was a stupid one.

If you read what I said, before. I think their current position in politics kinda supports what I said.
(also note, I like them more than the Tories, but the general public, not so much) -

Here you go, Ed. A potted history of London airports.

Ah. I thought it may have been the quickest invocation of Godwin's law ever!
-
• #43164
With our current government's position on militarisation, immigration, foreign workers and racists openly striding about like massive cocks, perhaps shouting 'Godwin's' should be officially suspended for the foreseable future?

That's the sort of thing Hitler's would say to lull the world into a state of global Nazism.

I thought that was what lufguss was for?

I was being sarcastic :)

Ukip come out in support of Goldsmith. Others calling for a united anti-Brexit candidate (http://richmondparkunites.co.uk/)
Richmond Park is going to be an interesting by-election.

It looks as if there's a bit of a UKIP hindrance storm brewing there.

Lol, lawyers in glass houses...

Leaving this on a popular thread as I think it's important lots of people fill it in.

Fuck me! £10 for crossing central london and filling the pockets of the power? I rather work on sabotage going all the way around the ultra polluting central scum society and producing 10 times more pollution.
I just need to know from where the wind is blowing and I fuck them, and all their cretins, by 10. -

Or you know, don't drive.
What are people's thoughts on Lab/Green not contesting?
Is it it the type of thing which will fuck voters off, feeling that they're being "dictated to". Or would competing followed by some last min bowing out be best?
