I ate gator nuggets on a childhood holiday to Florida and remember it being quite tasty, like slightly gamey chicken. Mind you that was maybe 20 years ago and I've been veggie for the last 10, so maybe I'm not the most reliable witness.

I had them in the Everglades. It was like fishy chicken. Not something I'd recommend.

Really isn´t exceptionally large or heavy for a gator.
