And soon to be Cameron's answer to the housing crisis.
Obviously without any funding for the tenants - it'll be handled through subsidized loans for the owners of the parks. You know. Big society.

More of what we all knew anyway from 'the world's most moral army'.
Some respect must go to the soldiers who speak out though. Not as much if they refused to fight in the illegal wars of occupation to start with, but at least they're speaking up now.

Just learned from the Beeb that the tories are considering Sol Campbell as their London mayor candidate? I'm torn on this one. Much as I dislike the tories I always had a soft spot for Campbell.
Mind you, the job should probably go to someone with actual political experience. -
• #34919
Because people with actual political experience have done such good jobs.

The problem is that the London Mayoral elections are basically celebrity elections, for two main reasons--the Mayor's responsibilities are actually quite limited, and nowhere near those that city mayors have elsewhere, and secondly despite these limited responsibilities the Mayor has too much executive power where he or she has power and most decisions come down to him or her (although so far it's only been hims). The London Assembly is virtually powerless, having one power of voting on the budget and that's it, basically--the committees that they spend a large part of their time on have no decision-making powers and mainly publish reports. So, there's basically no very intense discussion on actual policies and it becomes a personality contest.

Aldi has unwittingly taken delivery of a huge shipment of cocaine, for the second time in 18 months, across 13 of its stores in Berlin.
It had to happen right before the election didn't it? They're going to call it fucking Gideon aren't they? Vote Tory!
