  • What ever happened to Atom? Last time I heard of him/was going to see him was 2001.

  • I see.

Actually, I don't. But never mind.

Because it would be better to use the same size courts/goals/whatever everywhere in the world.

3cm isn't much, and it doesn't really matter, but maybe for new goals it's worth standardising.

  • Why would you standardize in feet?

Because all the NA goals are 6'.

I'm guessing, but I imagine they have more purpose built goals than us.

    And they did it first.

Lord it's hard to be happy when you're not using the metric system.

    Could not agree more.

Just because the N Americans are stuck in the 20th C, does that mean that we should be?

  • Until the size gets changed again. The NHL is (was?) discussing adding 2" to goals. If that happens, we'll all be fucked! FUCKED!

    I don't care about 2.9cm. And that's why I think it's funny and silly.

  • Less talk, more polo...

I saw him in 2003 last. Then he was in Armalite, maybe he still is?

  • 2 metres!!

    +1

  • so i've been thinking. grabbing the boards, i think it should be banned. feet and leaning only. what do ya'll think?

  • IMO feet on boards should be banned. If you're foot's on anything apart from a pedal then you have to tap.

  • Grabbing the boards is already banned, under the horizontal surfaces rule. Don't really see it called though.

  • ^
Is that a london specific rule?

According to WHBPC rules the horizontal surface rule applies to foot only?

  • Hmm ok, guess it's not a rule then. Not sure why I thought it was, guess that's why it's not called.

  • I've been on the receiving end of this a few times, Is it as black and white as I think it is?

  • Young love?

  • Clothesline? I imagine it is illegal.

  • Certainly not considered very gentlemanly in the game of basketball.

  • your clearly calling ryan and snoops out cam. No one else is tall enough. ;)

  • The opposite actually, it's the little ones you've got to watch out for. Was helping Bells get used to her bike and she pulled the old clothes line out. Standard.

  • Oi!

  • I think it's a bit of a grey area, personally (as I would do, as I have a big reach).

I think it's legitimate to go for the ball, across another player, as long as you don't make (significant) contact. But where's the line?

In that picture above, has the player in front put his arm across the other? Or has the player behind run into him, while he's on the ball?

  • If I were referring I'd call any cockpit infringements like that, it's dangerous and dickish. If not wearing a cage you could always bite their arm.

  • Or lick that arm, makes the same point without turning polo into Tyson vs Holyfield on court.

  • gently kiss?

  • Bloke furthest from the camera has erectile stem, hi-rise ugly bar, hulk glove, rolled up shirt sleeves and stupid baseball cap, so i'm inclined to side against him, but I think any asshole who's trying to reach over across your front wheel is being way too ambitious and should back the fuck off. So put him/her out to dry.

I think the foreground guy is okay, so long as the ball is on the near side of the opponent's bike.
