  • Team?
As long as you have designated officials, and it is clear that any official (main ref or goal ref) may make a call, I don't see why all officials would need to be from the same team. Or did you just mean we shouldn't have "Beagle resets"?

as in nice touch win, they stay on to ref.

  • Ultimately the goal refs and the main ref should be wired up with mics and earpieces, but we are some way off that right now.

That way they can all be talking to each other throughout the game, and instantly alert the ref about things they've seen, without stopping the game, and without distracting the players until the ref makes the call.

This would be ideal, but I'd like to have a clock / scoreboard before we think about mic-ing the refs.

  • Oh, for sure, I don't see that happening any time soon.

  • Walkie talkies... over.

  • Bluetooth conference calls.

    Roger donald.

  • Absolutely, not saying they shouldn't play, I'm just saying they should come and play our sport. Instead of having a go at our sport with their equipment. ...

You wouldn't turn up to a horse polo game on a elephant and say "close enough"...

  • Ain't it more like turning up for horse polo on a horse that's been trained for racing? The example above is more like turning up to polo on a harley.

i like a spinny gear so why cant i have 1:1?
if i wanted a ridiculous layback seatpost why couldnt i have it?
its still a bike, but just modified, just like urmmmm..... polo bikes are.

  • Yeah cause no one rides track bikes or trails bikes for polo.

Everyone's got a polo specific frame by now right?

  • A track bike with flats and brakes is modified for polo, no?

  • Would this be allowed?

(assume it has at least one brake)

    You're arguing that it would.

  • This is also legal
