Using brick lane for 'competitive' games would deter newbies from joining in a game. It was happening last summer and the games weren't nearly as fast paced as they are now! -

yeah, brick lane's role is PR and newbie training plus as a meeting ground and social hub. seriousness is strongly discouraged.
