  • Boks have gone 7-1 for the final with Le Roux the only backline cover on the bench and Kolbe covering 9 in an emergency. Mental and I feel it'll cost them, such a risk for such an important game.

  • Strong start for the bronze spoon.

  • Did Woodward really say Steward should be playing 12 and Arundel 10?

  • High point of this match will be the Argentina coaching team vibing to the Spice Girls

  • kINEL. Like treacle.

    Yeah we'll take Bronze.

    Ta

  • Only just finished. Kids awake til 10. Partner out on the tiles. It was tense, but not a spectacle.

My god England rugby needs some big, ugly lock forwards to make some hard yards. Picking Arundel to be a Persil ad on his way off was a bit shit. Why play a game plan like that and pick a small, mazy winger? Tuilagi is surely done now. One hit for the highlights - anything else? Curry, Underhill, Earl is ok. Itoje needs to be dropped to wake him back up.

Lucky maybe. Green shoots maybe too. But I’m not convinced yet…

  • Also, how good were Tonga in t’other code last weekend? Tier 2 my arse.

  • Yes. And yes. And no…

  • It’s a bold strategy, Cotton…

  • Missed the game due to beer and forgetting it was on.
Worth watching when I get home?

  • No, unless you enjoy backs with any flair being played out of position while their less talented compatriots play as extra forwards. Arundell making an appearance on the wing was purely decorative and I believe Marchant was there, but for all the ball he received he might as well have watched on the telly.

  • Lindsay Hoyle at Huddersfield… didn’t know he was a League man.

  • Kiwis bringing performing Kapa o Pango.

  • Surely today's the day where 7-1 split backfires.

  • Surely accidental so only a yellow?

  • New Zealand's kicking has been so poor.

  • Was that really a red? Dude turned into him half bent over, didn't give 7 much of a chance to do anything else.

  • The problem is Cane is always upright, it's unlucky for him but equally lazy technique given the way those challenges are reffed these days.

  • Exactly this, he gave the officials a decision to make which was unnecessary in the situation.

  • Fair. He was bent over a bit, just not enough?

The SA tackle just now looked worse to me, got him right in the face.

Edit, not a red. Dude knew exactly what he was doing.

  • South Africa have given away some smart penalties when New Zealand are building momentum with early tackles or letting to ball hit them, not sure if deliberate but stopped a couple of dangerous positions evolving.

  • That is absolute class.

  • That’s the stuff right there.

  • Ouch…

  • Oh you're fucking kidding. This game is a joke.
