  • He has been great for us, just a solid 8/10 every single match. Also seems to be getting more of a scoring presence, which hopefully he packs away for this weekend.

  • Consistently high performances have always been his biggest strength, he regularly used to top the 6n and pro14 tackle tables as well as carry tables. The problem was that you never really got the impression that carriers were hesitant to be tackled by him. That has changed now and while he will never be as abrasive as say Itoje or Paul O'Connell he seems to be causing more pain in contact which is always good to see.

  • Paul O’Connell is an abrasive legend😁 Speaking from a purely independent Irish point of view 😂😂😂

    it's that time again

Very hasty picks (almost worked last time!). Good luck everyone and a bump for this. Will raise a dram to Bobbo later when England lose!
(that is a very tasty Scotland side - could be a very good tournament for them)

  • Shambolic start from Wales. Ireland looking well tidy though.

  • Ireland's year?
Wales were getting it together the last 10 minutes, but clearly lacking something in the finish

  • Last year would've been Ireland's year if Peter O'Mahony wasn't a fucking idiot.

  • Closer than expected. Well played, Scotland. England had enough possession to win it. Blew too many chances.

  • You FUUUUUCCKKKINGGGGGGG DAAAAAANCERRRRRRR!

  • Thank you Luke Cowan-Dickie.

  • Poor game, two average teams. Ireland look the business. Looking forward to France as ever.

  • As promised. Cheers! (a wee mini one)

  • Oof. Catching up with bits of the first game now. I think Adams might not play 13 next week. Just a thought…

  • Thought Wales were lucky to be only 10 down at half time. Glad they managed to avoid the nil.

  • I think you and I may have been watching a different game. I thought both England and Scotland looked good, of course both had rough patches, but for the first match of the 6n both played very well as a team.

Also I would have loved to be able to watch that match from the perspective of a neutral rather than peeking through the cracks in my fingers for 80 minutes.

As far as the Ireland Wales match goes I'll have to re-watch it this evening, but I can't figure out if Wales were shite or Ireland were amazing. Wales certainly looked very toothless at times.

  • England just turned in a classic Eddie Jones performance in my eyes. Really don't see much improvement and the usual discipline problems came to the surface in the second half.

Big up to Scotland for making the most of it.

  • Ireland were amazing!

  • Italia! Italia!
Not gonna last, but lovely to see

  • Worst try of the championship, right there.

  • Fantasy Rugby Update:
So some great selections by @Coops and my brother 'Small' Bill have them way out in front with the proverbial 'gnat's cock' separating myself @DethBeard and @Prole. in 3-5 positions and Azzuri @owl showing much improved recent form to start this season to in contention despite in 6th.

From my point of view I made some schoolboy errors though a lot of tinkering meant I can easily make shite excuses. 15 points for Biggar and choosing VdM last minute instead of Graham and, like many, Penaud ahead of try machine Villiere not to mention Supersub Nowell coming on in the 81st minute (WTF) mean a modest start and many 'what ifs' however very much all to play for and there's no question the table could conceivably be turned upside down next week with a couple of inspired selections or good/bad luck.

  • I really should have reviewed my team once the French announced theirs. Properly fucked me over...

  • yes, been caught out a few times with last minute injuries and making other things a priority over fantasy 6 Nation, you know, feeding the kids and being a good husband etc! Every player can have a 'wow' of a game; I mean, I take Biggar and Dupont out for next week and all of a sudden Biggars kicked 7 pens and Dupont has scored 2 tries and got MotM. All good stuff and rather enjoyable, plus gives mty brother and I a good chance to catch up and speak nonsense

  • Just going to leave this here.

Would put it in memes but I think it's better off here.

  • Superleague is back tonight. Great stuff!

Saints vs Catalans could be a fantastic game too.
