  • I'm not speaking about the team or selection. It's the club level and supporters I most find irksome. The punditry second. Although I used to find Brian Moore totally intolerable, but for some reason now I don't mind him. Maybe it's my age. Or having been part of an English club for too long. Oh god, what's happening to me. Now where did I put my port ladle?

  • just watch league it's better

  • I used to find it more fun to play too. But then the front end/middle of the scrum is a bit easier and less pushing involved.

  • Marler and Lawes cited...

  • What'd Lawes do?

  • Alleged dangerous tackle - again on Jones.

I think Jones (Eddie variety) has been referred for his "against 16" stupidity too.

  • Sadly I own neither a flat cap or whippet and am therefore unfairly discriminated against when I try to play league.

  • Wyn Jones "called for action after the match" because he had his knob tweeked...

  • flat cap

Tons of these at Twickenham on Saturday... No excuse.

  • Agreed

My School trained half and half in the season (And we even got a bit of league going at University), much preferred league. When I moved to Scotland I did get into Union a lot more and now have a healthy love of both, but a Super League game is much more watchable for me compared to a Prem one.

Luckily, I was always better at Hockey and Cricket so the League experience came in handy for playing them up here.....

  • Agreed. Full-on PR fail right there. Probably would have been a cheap-ish win for them, dependent on number of tickets still outstanding. The reserve game offer is a proper shitty stick also.

Problem is FlyBe collapsed (fairly probably) owing a fair chunk of cash to them and they are understandably smarting from it.

(Tony Rowe's insistence on putting his letters on every quote on every press release does indicate he thinks a lot of himself too...)

  • As a chiefs fan, this does seem a bit of an own goal in terms of PR, and the press release could have been a lot more conciliatory. Tony Rowe does seem to have a real laser focus (rightly so to a large degree) on making sure that we stay a profitable business, and no idea how much losing Flybe is going to cost them (I assume they were one of the larger sponsors) but in this case I think he could have handled it loads better.

  • Current top of the Premiership, they'll have no bother finding a sponsor. Would be interesting to know (morbidly) the cost of those tickets to Exeter and the cost of this negative PR.

  • I'm pissed off with a sponsor, so I'm going to take it out on their employees who've just lost their jobs... vs a few hundred quid

  • Collossal dick move, no doubt. But my feeling of schadenfreude would be more enjoyable if I knew how much he screwed himself.

  • True dat

  • Sarries might well be able to solve their huge wage bill problem that would have caused them problems in the future...

  • World rugby screening replays of classic matches on their website from today in an effort to fill the sports based void in our lives.

  • BBC, you f***ing dickheads...

After they got the wrong George Floyd also. Something seriously wrong there.

  • The BBC checking of images for accuracy seems to have become something of a joke. They have history.

  • Definitely - they have a fairly poor history with him alone.

Hardly surprising that they've let Manu move on given his wages and injury record, but Leicester are in one hell of a mess. £5m loss, no buyer for the club. Veainu, Eastmond and Jordan Taufua also released, who they definitely will miss. The squad looks like it will be very light next season.
