Russian 7 is excellent

Been very impressed with Russia, yes fitness told but the Japanese play at a much higher level week in week out.

Not sure Japan had the best day at the office, they are the closest thing at the competition to a club side seeing as their national coach is also DOR at the sunwolves. They looked very suspect under the high ball, and made a lot of mistakes handling wise.

Samoa will be fresh when the play them. That could be an interesting match.

Misssed most of the 1st half. Good to see Nigel Owens setting a high standard for refereeing.
Happy to see Japan win the opening match to keep the domestic audience engaged.

Fiji game will be tasty tomorrow. Can't wait to see Sevu Reece play as well, he's been on fire in the Super Rugby.

Agree with comments re: Japan - although 3-4 absolute howlers under the high ball! Just a bit of stage fright and suspect they'll perform significantly better in the coming weeks.

I didn't realise that as I got lazy and assumed that the Jaguares rule was still in force.

Looking at the squad now 2 out of the 3 non Argentina based players are at fly half, so I assume they have made an exception because of a lack of strength in depth. The other player not based in Argentina is Figalo who are presents a similar problem for the coaches to what the Armitage brothers did to England a while back, not having the player pool that England have Argentina have obviously made an exception. In terms of quality a cross the rest of the squad they don't seem to suffer too much.
