That was a serious first half.
Fucking hell. Did you see that kick. 3 points from inside our own half.

Daly has a left foot like a traction engine.
Probably the right ending to the series.
Jonathan Davies, Faletau and Farrell were immense for the Lions throughout.

Great series. Fair result. A shame this Lions team can't keeping playing together - they keep improving.

Lets talk Kwagga Smith. Watching him play at the weekend I realised that that was how I was trying to play when I played. It was great watching a 5'11'', 90kg open side putting it about and just playing a bit lose.
I felt like it was the first time in modern rugby that I say a player playing like I tried to play. I was mostly fucking rubbish tho.
I can also see why he doesn't get picked for proper tests, that 90kg would get crushed. I sometimes wish rugby was more accommodating for players like him wipes away tear

Which will be the most exciting game?
-
• #2667
Wales vs Scotland should be tight this weekend. The other two not so much. Probably.
-
• #2668
Yep, neither team have any reason to turn it into a series of 16-men mauls.

• #2669
France opting to out a 19 year old debutant against Sexton, that is not going to end well for them.

What telly channels are showing the games?

Do struggle with some of Eddie's selections, but it is obviously working.
Te'o? Not played for 3 months...
Youngs over Care?
Robshaw at 7?
Really don't rate Brown, if he isn't going to pick Goode, then I would prefer to put Watson at 15
What does Nowell have to do to start? Hoping it is just because of InjuryAnd as an Exeter fan, what do Armand and LCD have to do to get into the squad?
I would have gone with;
Brown; Watson, Te'o, Farrell, May; Ford, Youngs; Vunipola, Hartley, Cole, Launchbury, Itoje, Lawes, Robshaw, Simmonds
Vunipola, George, Cole
Launchbury,Itoje
Lawes, Simmonds, ArmandCare, Ford, May, Farrell, Joseph, Nowell, Watson
With Hartley not even in the squad.

It's Italy so Teo is getting a chance for some game time. He is our only bruising centre so gets the opportunity to give the squat more options.
Wouldn't say I don't rate Brown, he is very very good at a lot of things. Better than Watson at a lot of core FB skills and positioning. Magic of Watson means I'd give him a chance there for this game.
Re Goode, I think you need 2 first receivers at test level these days. Fly half will always be one then it is between the 12 and 15 where you want the other. If Farrell wasn't playing I'd be very tempted by goode to fill that role from 15. But Farrell means you can either have a solid 15 (brown) or an attacking 15 (watson). Goode would have been in a lot of my squads as cover and general really fucking good rugby player tho.
Care/yongs - I'm not sure whos the best. Care moves things quickly and at worst Youngs is too ponderous stopping decent backs play. At best he kills it tho.
No Idea what Big Don has done but t must have been bad. I would continue to pice Robshaw tho. Quiet dirty work.
I agree with your team, I agree with Jones' team.

I take your point on giving Teo some game time.
If I was really going for it, I would question whether Ford is really in good enough form to stay qt 10, which would bring Farrell into 10, and then Goode could be the second first receiver as you mention. I would then have Te'o at 12 and either Joseph or Slade when fit at 13. Don't think there is much between Youngs and Care in skill levels, just Care is on slightly better form, but then if it comes down to form then surely Robson should be starting...
I like Robshaw at 6, was just struggling to get Launchbury, Lawes and Itoje into 2 spots, and he was the unlucky man.

I think Ford is nearly undroppable. he stands so flat, makes quick decision , executes well and adapts well. He lets everyone else play. Farrell is a better and more important player, but that is thanks to ford. It's a combo of 2 rugby league players showing the best of how that sport does the basics.
I'm a bit of a plastic egg chasing fan, but come on you Lions!!!
