Address fail. Hillbilly moved East on Friday. He'll be at the Elderfield.
Yeah, he mentioned it earlier in the thread but said he might come all the way back to ride up with us..

Clapton? Hmmmmm..... supose it's on the border really.
http://www.fancyapint.com/pubs/pub2587.htmlHe, he, those pissed-up pub-crawlers clearly haven't a clue what they're talking about.
No, Elderfield Road is definitely Lower Clapton. What border? :) Homerton north of the A102 is roughly around the hospital, Ashenden Road, Kingsmead Estate.

I've ridden past that pub about 30 times in the last two weeks. God damn it. Never really noticed it. Well looks like we can slip in a quick game of Who's who before we head out. They have board games. Fuck yeah it don't get out much.

Shame, should have liked to come along.
50 isn't that many. Surely an exhortation to respect residential areas would have been sufficient?
I don't want to crash anyone's party.Have fun and that.

If anyone is forced to cancel, can they ping me a pm? I hope that is O.K. pajamas; seems too good a trip to miss, if there is a spare place.

The weather is not looking to hot for this ride.
-
• #208
hmm.. wonder if we should go off Thursday's or Friday's weather? Theoretically the ride's happening Friday.... and Friday's weather's great!!!
-
• #209
Noooo! Can't make it on Friday... prays for better weather ...
-
• #210
Stick with Thursday!
-
• #211
sorry buddha fingaz - that wasn't what i meant, it reads badly. It's happening Thursday for sure.
-
• #212
Yeah, he meant that technically the ride is on friday morning
-
• #213
You see, he's just complicating things - cos the ride technically straddles Thursday and Friday. That pajamas, you can't trust him to make anything simple....5000 riders, confusion over what day it's taking place, not allowed on the ride without kevlar tyres....I just know we're going to get lost.

a brief stab at optimism and I'm muddying the waters.. Thursday night, 11.30pm start. If it's torrential we'll have to talk about it in the day but in all honesty - it's happening.

Just thinking, how do Souths people feel about a drink or two at the Coach & Horses beforehand? (Doubles up as a meeting place)
-
• #217
@ pajamas - don't worry, you're doing a fine job, and keeping us all entertained
@ wibble - quiz night at the c & h - we could do that first, it's quite a laugh and only £2 to enter (don't ask me how I know)

Definitely in for the quiz

The weather reports, BBC/Accuweather say rain in the morning on Thursday.
Not in the evening. -

might be up for pre-ride pub, definitely for riding up with people. probably not quiz though - i've just been nominated to host a christmas dinner for 16 people at my house on friday. fuck fuck fuck, frantically makes a cauldron of stuffing.
on a different note: guerillaphoto - you're driving up from brighton, i need to be in brighton friday morning. are you driving back down on friday and could we come to an arrangement?

Job done. =D
I have to be there FRIDAY morning, not Saturday morning. Unless you're suggesting I ride back late from Brighton alone, just so I can high-five everyone coming from London. And miss my own dinner party.
Ta though.

And miss my own dinner party.
....not a bad idea actually....
-
• #225
Whoops =P
The high five idea sounds rather good though...
London - Brighton ride at the same time as a Brighton - London ride, sounds like a plan.
Fame at last!
