  • Oops i lied. I got a bus once somewhere in there, and had an argument with the driver cos I was certain the fare couldn't be two ffing quid!

  • @ Skully - was this you?

    "How effing much?"

  • Today because I couldn't cycle due to injury.
Prior to that July because I could cycle due to injury (clavicle).

    There's a pattern here somewhere.

  • @ Skully - was this you?

    "How effing much?"

    yes but I am uglier.

  • hmmm

about two months ago, cos I had to collect a frame, three rims, some cranks and other bits from stanmore. a fucking long way from here. I got the tube. it was either that or drive.

If it had just been the frame I would have been tempted to ride..

I have an oyster card somewhere, in fact I think I've lost it...

  • About 2 weeks ago, not through choice though

Keep in mind he's in an iron lung though.

is that some new fangled hipster term for buses?

  • Keep in mind he's in an iron lung though.

    Andy W check's his PMs

  • I've been pounding the public transport as of late. I need pay day so that I can buy some proper lights so that I don't shit myself on a daily basis

The underground is chill in the morning but awful at night. They should have showers down there for the commuters; there are some funky dudes on those trains

  • It has been 8 years since I was last in London's famous london.
I would love to rep you all. Very funny.

It's probably all those people who shit themselves on a daily basis.

    Disablist

Actually, I have a story on Hawkings, seriously!

  • is this you pistanator?

  • Is that Luther Blissett?

  • last time i was on a bus i saw a guy get on with a fold up bike at kings x and get off just before old street - i guess the hill was just too much for him - i was shaking my head in amazement all the way - i had tons of luggage with me and no bike btw.

  • I take the bus once or twice a month, one bus takes me door-to-door and costs me 90p on the lobster. Always get a seat on the way in, generally get one on the way home, If I've got a book or paper it makes a change, but if I'm in a rush I get really ferking angry. I pity the poor feckers who have to tube it on a daily basis, have had to use the Eurostar for work trips recently and taking the tube to get to St Pancras is a fucking pig.

  • Public transpot only when getting to the airport for holidays - that makes it an exciting treat!

I was one of those smelly people on tuesday and wednesday after having unfixable punctures and a fckd wheel respectively...

I felt pretty guilty getting on a packed tube in my sweaty cycling clothes I can only apologise for adding to the funk. Although those are the first two days in three months, which I think is pretty good going for those of us actually in London and not attached to an ironlung...

Isn't that the cat from red dwarf also played in starlight express... Danny something Jules

  • naaa, that guy's on Story Makers, on CBeebies.

    Blue Cow rules.

  • yep that too:
Milton Wordsworth (played by Danny John-Jules)
(from wikipedia, so might not be true)

  • I still have to use the tube/bus at weekends when I'm out with my lady... So last Saturday... Grim...

Teach her how to ride man..... [snigger...]

  • Not since about September. Out for a day with the camera and the bike is too fast/bike stuff to bulky to haul around for it to be that practical.

I've been taking the bike down to Bristol for some training and it's been really nice. The rail staff there don't treat you as the most untolerable bane on their existance.

The guy who is Byron Wordsworth on Storymakers, also played the machete-wielding henchman in Casino Royale.
